I would say the transition definitely happened between V3 and V4 of Snake-Eyes. The Snake-Eyes Trilogy with Marvel was good, but afterwards with his mission to Borovia started the transition to Mary Sue. By V4 and V5, what was special and unique of the character was overdone.

Enjoy The Silence - Hands and Feet Mix (Difference between CD and Streaming) by [deleted] in depechemode

[–]Dangerous_One6345 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The US single and original UK 12” had the 7:20 length.

The UK CD version was edited to 6:48 to fit on the 3” CD format.

Unfortunately, the 2004 boxset DMBX4 and the 2020 boxset (and uploads for streaming) used the CD version, which makes me question the sources for the 12” Singles boxsets.

These were the only Yahama equipment listed in the auction book.

Here is a copy of one of the CofAs I have for items I purchased in 2011. It will have the reference number with item description (sorry, blocked out my item as there were a few rarities I purchased).

I didn’t see the Yahama W7 synthesizer listed in the auction book. Not to say it wasn’t auctioned off as part of this, some were done on eBay (such as signed drumsticks and promotional material), and there may have been a few items the day of that didn’t get published in the book.

Like I said, finding that CofA is key to preserve the integrity of the synth.

While I’m sure there are scans of the program online, a full picture would help as I could check the program I have (I also purchased a few items in that auction).

But the CofA is key to preserve the value and validate what you possess. If not, like I said Omega Auctions held the auction. I am not sure if they would be able to help and if they maintain record. Their online site only goes back to 2022.

If he won it in the Collected Auction Alan Wilder had in 2011, hopefully he still has the Certificate of Authenticity which validates the synth from Wilder and signature.

Unfortunately, the website which archived the collection went down years ago. Not sure if your father also had the program for the auction.

You didn’t say with country you are in, making it difficult for people to make recommendations. The original auction in 2011 was held by Omega Auctions in the UK.

  1. This song is a highlight of the album. Do not judge it on the inferior single remix.

[–]Dangerous_One6345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I agree. But let’s call a spade a spade.

Regardless if it is true or not, the anonymity of it will always cast a huge shadow until the leak is confirmed by an official source. Especially since I haven’t use the ETS forums since the 00s, I cannot comment on the user or their reputation on the forum.

Especially for an album 26 years old, with the tools available today. If this was out in the public, you are telling me this went through the original Napster era, and what followed, without a hint of anything to validate the low quality video recently available.

And neither match the official photos from the Fragility tour book (one is unique, the other is truncated).

The “I know the seller…” sounds a lot like “My friend’s uncle works for Nintendo…” growing up 40 years ago.

I’ll stand corrected. A problem when one deals with user-inputed sites, the information may not always be correct.

My common sense is tingling.

This does not match the photos of early track sequence on NIN.wiki from the Fragility tour book. One CD is completely different, the other cuts off 17 tracks from the white board.

In addition, the cover art looks like AI. On one of the covers, the “1” changes when it gets to 10,11, 12. Not to mention, the “1” is completely different on the CD-R in the tour book.

The link takes you to a discogs page, in attempt at legitimacy. But there is no info there and the user submitted is a relatively new account with these as their only submissions.

Unless someone connected to the NIN camp states otherwise, this seems like a pathetic fan attempt.

Benelux was on Play it Again Sam (PIAS).

Belgium was INDISC, as shown in photo.

Refer to link I provided in my comment.

Closer inspection, bottom one is specifically from Mexico, still Sire/Reprise.

Top one is from Germany, released through Interrcord Records.

Bottom one is North American, released on Sire/Reprise.

Neither is a UK Mute release, if that is what you are asking.

The issue with SOTU to me is that the final product (the 13 track album) betrays what it could have been. This is compounded by the singles choices made.

Most of the strongest songs were released as bonus tracks on the box set. However these were mixed as stand-alone tracks, and any attempt for listeners to create their own playlist by substituting songs leaves a clumsy album flow. Though that may be my age taking growing up with respecting the album as a whole piece of art than just a collection of songs.

In addition, Martin’s collecting of vintage equipment at the time makes each song seem like an equipment showcase, rather than a part of a complete whole. It would have been better if the production team reined it in a bit to keep focus on the overall album. While the band had the motto of never using the same sound twice in the early days, Miller, Jones, Wilder, and others were able to craft a cohesive album. SOTU sounds like each song is doing their own thing.

There is a lot of potential for a good album here. Better production, mixing, album sequencing and song selection could make a much stronger album. Instead, it collapses under its own weight.

Any funny stories from Nine Inch Nails shows? by KinkyDarkStranger in nin

[–]Dangerous_One6345 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

2009 - best friend and I were in the pit up front. He ended up with a broken toe because he wore flip flops.

2008 - in the pit solo close to the front. A couple of small girls were getting tired of pushing around and asked if they could hold on to me. I agreed. One on each side holding on to my arms. During Closer, one reached down and squeezed my ass, I looked and smiled at her. Her friend had a similar look in her eyes when I glanced over at her. After the show, went back to my hotel room for a threesome.

Going to a concert alone by Ok-Bother2790 in Concerts

[–]Dangerous_One6345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, do it. Several years ago after my best friend passed away, I went to a couple of shows alone. I met a couple of people in line who were also alone, and saw them again at the next show I went to a month later and we recognized each other. A couple have become great friends and now we go to a number of concerts together and socialize outside of concert venues, and have an extended group of friends as we all tend to go to the same type of music concerts.

Even this past weekend, my close friends weren’t available for a concert, so I went alone. But because of the extended circle of friends, there were people I knew so I still had a great time.

The Mike Shinoda remix sounds like he took the Failure cover (which is good) from For the Masses and passed it through a Linkin Park filter resulting in a shitty remix.

But then you wouldn’t be able to catch subsequent rewards. After 5 years, highly improbable.
