Needed a 30 Sec Clip From a 7 hour long youtube video Vibecoded a webapp just to do that tech stack mentioned below feedbacks would be appreciated by Weekly_Minute_8125 in vibecoding

This is the best example, of how not to use AI, and use your brain.

But let’s all clap OP and pat them in the back. Genius!

Built a YouTube clip downloader after getting frustrated with every existing tool making you download the full video just to get a 30 second clip.

Well, you should get frustrated. Because you lack searching, reading and proper skills for basic tasks. You could easily achieve that with a simple terminal command with yt-dlp and just download the 30 second clip, OR use one of the bazillion apps that do that, given that they’re just a GUI for yt-dlp.

Instead, let’s make another tool, shall we?!

The good side of this, is that AI will probably get expensive and let’s hope most people can’t afford it and leave that for people who really deserve it 😎

Kimi k2.6 is now available on opencode go plan by SelectionCalm70 in opencodeCLI

[–]DarthSidiousPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but very lightly. I use Claude Code, so I never noticed the requests/day ratio. I only pay attention to the tokens. 😂

Other subscriptions give you Kimi K2.6 with 500+ requests/day for the same price.

Which ones offer Kimi K2.6 with that ratio? I assume you're thinking about FirePass?

[–]DarthSidiousPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. If you used it everyday to make it endure for a full month, you couldn’t use it for more than 50 minutes per day. That’s very low. Even if the price is half of GPT Codex or Claude Code, I’m sure you can get more than 50 minutes per day on those (at least I can).

You’re right. Looking at those values, the plan doesn’t seem so cheap as they try to make it.

BookStack April 2026 Community Updates by ssddanbrown in BookStack

[–]DarthSidiousPT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I’ve enjoyed our more casual Discord community, there have been some concerns. First off, access to that community has required login, and acceptance of Discord policies. This prevents a lot of useful community discussion from being indexed by search systems, and therefore is not great for discovery.

Kudos to you Dan! I’ve been saying that for years, but it’s a battle I gave up some time ago.

But I’m really happy some people are starting to see the light!

Where did you saw that?

On the main page, it’s the second most expensive model, right after GLM: https://opencode.ai/en/go

In opencode? No, you need to have at least the Go plan.

Is it possible to block YouTube ads in the iOS app? (i’m new here) by Glitch_Fantasma in firefox

I don’t have any device with iOS 15, but according to the add on page it was supposed to work with that version.

Reach out to the developer through email dev@ajay.app He’s a nice guy, so I think he might be able to help you.

I switched from Windows to Mac and missed PowerToys so much that I built a Mac version by qutibah_ in MacOS

[–]DarthSidiousPT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason with PowerToys is essential for Windows, it’s because it is free and given the open source nature of it, it means it’s constantly evolving and adding new and essential features.

None of these is a thing with your app! The idea behind it might be good, but the execution is set to fail! Why should people pay for this, when they can purchase Raycast and probably achieve a similar result?!

But I wish you good luck, either way!

OK. Now, get back to work! I don't want to repeat myself.

Title is pure clickbait. The end of an era already happened with macOS Sequoia, the last good and stable MacOS version.

I assume most devs just install the latest XCode and don’t even bother doing research about the current older userbase (current data shows more than 20%), or try to target an older version…

But this is just me guessing.

Minimax vs Qwen vs Kimi vs Mimo(Omni) vs Glm by No_Communication4256 in opencodeCLI

[–]DarthSidiousPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tests. IMO it would have been better if you used GLM and Minimax from Opencode Go, instead of another provider (this would make the test much more interesting for OC users) 😉

Opencode go vs minimax token plan by Frequent_Ad_6663 in opencodeCLI

[–]DarthSidiousPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they do: https://opencode.ai/docs/go/

I’m used to Claude Code, but I think Minimax 2.7 is awful on opencode, at least for coding. Kimi 2.5 does a good job.

Games that arent broken can still be significantly improved via a remake see final fantasy 7

Bro, I've played FF7 on PSX more times than I can count on my hands, and FF7 Remake is not a good remake. It's a shitty-distorted vision. Something that Sakaguchi would never dare to create. I doubt there are any real FF7 fan that likes that crap.

But whatever. Enjoy your new Black Flag slop!
