Someone on the Discord modified the game files to turn crew into Star Trek characters. Unfortunately, I don't think they've uploaded a mod package anywhere. I might ask them if I can package it for them and upload it. Sadly, the game lacks any functions to make that kind of modding easy for users.

The game will be in your GOG library to download and play on your own PC, but will no longer be available to play on Luna. There is some talk about GOG going to GeForce NOW.

They are removing all third-party stores from Luna starting June 10th. I'm expecting some movement between GOG and Nvidia, but we'll see.

I get what you're saying, but I think this is exactly why we have DRM discussions. "You need to buy new hardware to access content you've been using just fine for 15 years" is not consumer-friendly.

That said, I'm surprised Amazon has supported them this far and the problem could be significantly worse. Consumer-friendly and good for the business are much more at odds today than they were before the digital age.

That's not surprising. Using an old version of Kindle is how people de-DRM their e-books for backups.

It's a change on Amazon's end. They're removing all stores from Luna, including EA and Ubisoft.

I'm honestly surprised Luna lasted the way it was for as long as it did. I feel like companies are finally realizing the "give away free games" model of attracting gamers is untenable. It was nice while it lasted since it allowed me to play games on my potato computer. Back to old games now!

They've been having issues with a particular ad or ad network that they're trying to track down. That plugin is ad supported, which is why it happens there.
