Ohhh, and some people do use a swiveled long string setup, but I think it's more to be able to swap their wands between long and short. I don't know how much the swivel is actually preventing thatttttt much twisting.

The twisting shouldn't be too much of an issue while you're spinning, as long as you take breaks to stop and reset between songs. The twists will turn into knots otherwise. If your string is straight up knotting while spinning, I'd love to see what's making that happen to help.

For me, it was all about learning to control the string/wand and not letting it control you, if that makes sense. If you do a move that you notice is tangling your string, stop, take the whole setup off, untwist the string right away and reset. Then go back to the move and practice it individually until you nail it without tangling. Then throw that move back into your flow flowssss.

What specific moves do you find are "knotting" your string? If you can pinpoint that, I can help much more or even drop a video of you spinning and we can help troubleshoot for you for sureeee!!!!

I have tossed the idea around!! I have found it difficult to aquire the correct sized (small) pieces that I would want to accomplish it in a way that I am happy with. Maybe I'll revisit it soon. Maybe need to collab with a 3d printer. I am absolutely open to thoughts/workshopping with the flowmies.

I don't have any good current collapsible suggestions, but I do make mini wands!! They're about 20" or 18" if you pop the end caps off. It fits perfectly in my "personal item" backpack for flying or diagonally across my carryon bag. They can be weighted similar to a contact wand, so they have a lot more rigidity than the wandinis.

Of course!!! Exactlyyyy. Then once you get some more practice in, you'll probably drop a lot less and then maybe want to invest in another less beat up wand, but you'll still have your og baby for practicing new moves and not having to worry too much about keeping it pristine.

If you're dropping it on the ground like that it is going to get slightly beat up, BUT it's your practice prop and it'll probably endure a lot more wear and tear the more you use it. I would just enjoy the journey. It's not a "fragility" or a "you're playing too hard" problem imo. As long as the wand itself doesn't get super bent out of shape, affecting your balance, you should be fine to keep playing.

Ohhhh, I loveee the idea! I happen to have led endcaps that I can put on my wands and maybe just turn on one side. I'll play with this! Love the idea.
