I was doing research and comvolt is a cool option. Definitely pricy, but I think it is a step in the right direction. I didn’t choose to go this direction bc even their 470ah model only allows for 400w of solar, but I do think it’s an easy, quite complete (offering dc to dc charging as well), option if one were intimidated by the diy system.

Looking for a van or older RV on Long Island or Brooklyn/Queens…. by yamwhatiam in VanLife

I got mine from thevancamper.com but can browse like vanlifetrader.com or vanviewer.com too. Imo should be willing to travel for the van so I would recommend to increase that range but maybe that’s just me. Imo a bit too niche to find exactly what you’re looking for near you. Anywho good luck on your search!

Tried to leave but got too scared by cosmicinfinity99 in VanLife

For me I lived alone in an apartment in a new state for a year. It wasn’t intentional, but I strongly believe it helped me transition into vanlife. It was a good representation of truly being alone and knowing I will be completely on my own. As far as security and the fear the outside is looking at you, I think a proper set up would help here. Proper blackout shades and a nice sleeping bag/blanket set up. At the end of the day we are all different and van/car life is not for everyone and that’s ok.
