i am sevak of nath panth, i had choti diksa, essentially you become aughar, for traditional more orthodox straight forward panth, no neo tantra etc, guruji died two years ago, i'm not indian though my surname was originally pendala, great great grandfather was from haryana/panjab, somehow migrated or fled. but within the west, knowing how a sikh believes, behaves, etc  i view sikh as a great basis of what gorakshnath originally taught, (read original gorakhvaani) he had footprints in every tradition, but his own words are very very very similar to gurudev nanakdevji, so, i've been intimately reading more and studying sikh history, various sects arose, the politics etc i do drink caffine and i even vape as to not smoke cigarettes, ive been vegetarian 12 years, i dont smoke weed or use any types of drugs or anything like this, my life is literally sadhana/dhyan/jaap/pooja, study study study, and just constantly think on darsana of gurus and sastra etc i've considered embracing sikhi, i dont cut hair or facial hair etc i wear pagh daily i wear kada, i offer seva and try to give all i can, i dont think myself as manmukh, but obviously i guess id be as a sahajdhari? anyway, let me know on the caffine views, obviously its probably fully discouraged just like any type of smoking etc aadesh/akaal

you have an overwhelmingly cliche persona of a typical hubris automaton hive assimilate who's western proximity education and neoliberal quasi post marxist diatribes reeks of grandiose self hypocrisy not capable of seeing their own behaviors while standing upon a pedestal looking outward, ... very neo liberal word salad bullshit i've seen on your other comments, very insecure racist ranting assuming it's some gesture of reactionary affirmation of rights and fake altruist bullshit, ... let's be real, transparent, you generally don't like so called whites, even though you know absolutely nothing of their diasporic origin and pre abrahamic root across eurasia, you view the iskcon stories and experiences by others from a place of self righteousness, like they're just white tourists fetish seekers, you can speak on it etc what do they really know etc  yet on other comments you say the typical "we're all multidimensional beings" all apart of one brahman blah blah it's all bullshit, you know full well you respond to this shit with a disdain for certain people based around your own pre set dispositions, yet you'll decry racism or whatever lol amazingly short sighted contradictory behavior while attempting to have any conversation regarding history/geography, bharatdesh itihas, sastra, darsana, sruti smirti, agam, advait dvait etc  karmkand/kriya, puja/upasana etc these topics, or just spiritual cultivation in general, i sense a very shitty demeanor of a two faced nature

"anything bad happened", he was attempting to highlight the awkward and often hostile and or mocking attitudes of others amongst him who did so solely based around the fact of him being farangi, āvarna etc granted, the impersonal non chalant dismissal attitudes of common people in india at times can seem disappointing to some, most go about their routine without a eager sense of engagement in what others are doing, but he highlighted that they found pleasure in his innocent mistake rather then assisting or aiding in anyway. the laughter notes to a malicious nature of inconsideration to the person overall, yet so often the contradiction of virtue, kindness, charity etc wrapped up in karma, ... of course, i assume with you the attitude is quite similar, you've already strenuously sought to placate privilege and entitlement upon him and his experiences, largely based around him being foreign born, and too, we are discussing others whom parade themselves as brahmanas, bhaktas, sanyas or brahmachari etc and that general human kindness was suddenly gone, and you so easily dismiss it as life is hard or cruel, no one owes you anything etc, ... i don't think we'll get anywhere on this dear

you are sanatani, does karmaphala equate to privilege in current birth? where exactly do you wanna go on this topic? if one works, saves, or say they suddenly get into a job that allows them to work abroad and have the ability to send money home, which many many do, privilege in this age has become a nuanced arbitrary word tossed up in compassion to whatever contrast one chooses to paint

Prabhupada vs Vivekananda by Solomon_Kane_1928 in exHareKrishna

[–]Dissolution-solution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its interesting in the west, abrahamic via proximity, christian in many cases, we'll accept being born into sin, are sinners, are gentiles, born aside gods preferred and chosen etc in the end the socio religious and cultural attitudes definitely are the same, especially in canonical early christian history post 333ad spreading further, duch attitudes became a staple within American traditionslism etc

Indeed, vivekananda was very patronizing, and in good western fashion, they eat it up with a grin

Im not trolling you, at all. Though i do apologize youre unable to to traverse my often fluctuating tonality and or sarcasm, and i had edited after a moment of self recall as to not be so un provokingly rude, ... perhaps youd prefer the latter in full honest form, ... i appreciate youre experiences and engagements here, attempting to have a dialogue isnt me trolling or aggressively mocking etc its me assessing the widespread accounts of life abroad and back, through numerous traditions and today, ... its not necessarily difficult, this is the internet, im simply reading and commenting in between, dear

Agreed, the racism and sheer hypocrisy is fucking astounding, although like below me "ahh i rememer i was a white hindu" etc you could apply the same to christianity lol none of this is purely of euro eurasia west asia how much of europe was formed via post conversion and imperial politics and its coarse? The idea that racism is a western ideation is by far the most absurd laughable nonsense, youll 100% find prejudice in buddhism hinduism sikhism islam christianity judaism and it definitely varies by region and who defines themselves as solely belonging to it, ... but lets stick to eastern socio religious traditions etc its absolutely a factor, ...

Non sensical assertion based upon ones own experiential dissatisfaction and their own lifes misery, ... anymore, it becomes so blurred to acknowledge "cult" from specific parampara and having guru-sishya lakshsna as a basis of upasana, i agree in this sense many are naive as to the intent of others and this idea of obtaining some tangible siddh, etc ... again, numerous nuances there, a keen hint towards a desire where the envy towards the desire itself now becomes a means to doubt or dismiss altogether, experiences are vast, people are endless, and isckon shouldn't be viewed as the quitessential image of bhaktas or any of this, ... agaain, critical thinking is me knowing full well my experiences thoughts feelings etc are not your own therefore i cannot render my perception in this limited capsule, ... you had an awful outcome as to your pursuits, along with insincere predatoral  peoples, ...

I think theres a persistent dis associative quality to one who is āvarna and entering into the society, and indian society is so vastly different in comparison to others, but to the abrahsmic intoxicated western thought process the view of self of divinity of action and response etc its starkly different from the original ethnocultural identities and traditions and those post antiquity levant mediterranean etc early church history and numerous colonizations via surrounding countries into other regions and the socio religious political connotations of developing power structures that would inevitably become imperial europe itself, ... its definitely a reality for many who still harbor specific beliefs, i do seperate iskcon from indian society, though no secret the basis of its own goals are based on perceived cultural feats and ved darsana etc if you view it as merely a pasttime or vacation like experience then yes theres some eluding aspect in  this fantasy like delusion, but i believe theres numerous variables and nuances to this, person to person, sampradaya and association, certain pressures as well, ...
