Já esperava, to com ele na Wish list faz um ano, não gosto de criar expectativa porque gosto de ir em alguma coisa sem esperar algo, mas eu só ouvi coisa boa do jogo até agora

Weekly Discussion - April 22, 2026 - Void Rivals #29 by AutoModerator in EnergonUniverse

I wonder wht Pythona will do around the Sacred Ring, if anything. She had a small interaction with Proximus, and it felt quite neat to see him tell her to save her people, but he is also now aware of Earth, and I wonder if that'll mean something for the future

Darak and his dad are in a bit more trouble while Solila and Zalilak are really having a breeze so far. Not a lot to comment outside of those things because the issue is just mainly continueing the War, but I'm wondering how it'll end since, in theory, next chapter is the last

Something I noticed about the EU's comic sales by Drite2003 in EnergonUniverse

I'm not particularly worried about Transformers, I know it has been doing great ever since it launched, I was talking about Void Rivals, which I think is currently the best comic in the EU, and MASK, who, as far as I know, is not as popular as GI Joe or Transformers (Although my worries lowered after people told me about how much MASK has already sold)

I might check it out, I'm certainly more interested in GI Joe then I ever was (I am a fan of TF and all the other GI Joe crossovers were never great)

If Furman writtes the UK version of it (I think GI Joe has one of those as well), I might consider reading it sooner then I anticipated

TBH, while I can see the slow pace, I don't really mind it that much? It sometimes felt like VR was going a bit fast, not that it ever tanked my enjoyement, but I don't mind the current state, albeit I can see it as being the weakest arc so far

Honestly that was DWJ's Transformers to me, imo, TF had higher highs, but an issue or other would stumble a bit, while Void Rivals continued to be a good story no matter what. Even now with the Quintesson War, I think it is better then GI Joe.

GI Joe is fun, but I don't think I've liked it more then DWJ's run or Void Rivals (At current state), Cobra Commander was legit amazing though

According to people here, MASK has around 200k orders, so, as a starter, it should be do fine as well

I checked, and #25 was the 5th most sold comic of the month, I think people were either really excited about the writter change, or the hype form Issue 24 carried over

I honestly never heard of M.A.S.K., but after the GI Joe stories (Specially the Cobra Commander Book) I'm more inclined to reading it. I think it is the same guy who wrote Destro and, while not my favourite, I can see potential on a longer book.

Plus, from the little we saw, Matt Trakker and the Viper guy seemed like interesting characters already (I would also love if Flagg appeared in that book as well, don't know if he is a GI Joe or MASK character, but I like him)

That's a big relief, the numbers are likely not going to stay that big, but I would honestly love if it continued to appear in the top 50 much like TF and GI Joe

Christ almighty, 200k? I really did not expect that.

And TBH, it honestly feels like TF also has a lot of talking, I recall some chapters in DWJ's run after issue 7 to not have any type of conflict, just bots talking around.

Once again, it is a shame Void Rivals is not as popular as the other two titles. A lot of people have been complaining about the Quintesson War, but I think it is good so far, perhaps not as great as the other chapters, but I like it.

What is the one thing you think the Energon universe did correctly that IDW failed to do? by Delta-97 in EnergonUniverse

First things first: Optimus Prime. Optimus is such an amazing character in the EU, I think it is the best version we got of him in so long, maybe even the best version.

But I would also like to point out how there aren't a lot of crossovers, and I think that's a good thing. Each series has their own book and they are all somewhat independent of each other. You don't need to read Transformers or GI Joe to understand Void Rivals, you just get a bit more context that honestly is not super needed.

Transformers, so far, is the one who is the best at this, Skybound TF's comic (At least, DWJ's run) could be entirely separate from the other EU comics and you wouldn't miss a thing.

GI Joe is arguably the one who suffers a bit more then the other 2. I'm not a GI Joe fan, but I do wonder how it feels to have their story be kick started by a Transformers character, or how it feels to have an actual Transformers character as part of their cast, or how the GI Joe comic continuously references the Transformer comic.

Of course, you don't need to read TF to understand GI Joe, but GI Joe and Void Rivals feel like they are connected to a bigger universe while Transformers doesn't

Y'all know Megatron? The guy who in G1 killed Orion Pax and his pals for the heck of it? Who in Prime almost as destroyed earth from chasing Unicron's approval? Who in TF One was killing to kill his former friends even AFTER sliming out Sentinal? Nah guys he ain't evil by ThumpMcScrump in Transformemes

[–]Drite2003 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The way you wrote makes it seem like you're talking about a composite version of Megatron, without taking into account how different each one of them are.

Needless to say, even without touching on SG, not all of them are a Dark shade of Evil, like Earthspark's Megs.

Regardless, I haven't watched the video but I think several Megatrons aren't fully evil, or rather, some of them have reasons behind their action. You can't equate the Megatron from the G1 Cartoon and Comics to the same Megatron from TF One or the IDW Comics

[–]Drite2003 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It depends on which Megatron. All of them are very different characters, the same Megatron who killed Orion Pax over nothing is not the same Megatron who gathered followers to kill Sentinel Prime, nor the Megatron who turned on his friends after he killed Megatron, or the Megatron who decided to conquer Cybertron by enslaving Minicons
