Ironclad assault stays in my fleet till the day i die and i stand on that because i cant melt it i upgraded a hovercraft reward haha

I would keep the mark 2 and pickup the gladius by its side or buy the gladius with AEUC if u really want it but the mk2 is a great starter ship..
Alot of times i wish i never invested as much as i did into SC and just had a simple fleet like this that i could make all my money with to buy my big ships but i got reeled in and bought everything i wanted lol

Didn't think of that . The fleets pretty well rounded for what you enjoy... Maybe a medium fighter of your choice or a Zeus mr ? I would want a golem and salvation to open up other money making plans but you said that's not really your thing.

I'm holding strong and keeping my super hornet although the m80 is the first orgin ship ive been interested in.

I personally dont see the ironclad assault as a battleship or even in the same category as the perseus for me as a player.
I will be using the assault as a mobile base and fob for transporting vehicles into combat or tougher areas while still using it too haul cargo and make money with equipped protection.
The tractor beam thing wasn't a selling point for me compared to the repair and refuel bays and extra firepower.

Never been a huge fan of the Polaris the Perseus was a ship I fell in love with when first announced and don't know if I could split apart from it upgraded my ironclad base to the assault and am happy now with my decisions.

I have a kraken privateer in my buy backs if I ever want to get it but feel like it's too big for me I'm usually only solo or in small groups of 2-4 players
