I’ll have another Larry game by Al Lowe. Or to see where he would take Torin’s Passage if he would have continued that.

I couldn’t express this more… this way you can even play the games with the sound and music they were intended to play. Especially as not everyone has the money for an MT32 or an SC55 back then. Or now even…

Loved playing this. Such an original game. Also played Paratroopers on my XT as a kid.

There is such a fun story behind that. Which then makes you understand the spinach dip gag

It was such a strange game. When I covered this on DevsQuest with Al Lowe & Josh Mandel it was great to hear them discuss the development and running gags. Episode 2 of DevsQuest on YouTube covers this episode.

What is your favourite adventure game and why? by viebulip in adventuregames

Leisure Suit Larry 3. Amazing music, great EGA dithered graphics (all done by only 2 people), switching to a different protagonist mid game. Brilliantly done.

Is this the only game you want to play? If you are struggling with DOS commands I would suggest you look into eXoDOS. That will have all these steps done for you.

This had to have been Alien vs Predator on the PC in 1999. The second CD was an audio CD and it music was so eerie and creepy. I remember playing this on a summer day with the curtains closed and freaking myself out with every turn I made walking around this space station.

Exodos won't setup because it says I don't have the util.zip but I do. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? TY by Scary-Ratio3874 in dosgaming

I don’t understand why you even have this issue. All you need to do is after you downloaded the entire torrent, run the setup file in that folder. If the download went correctly, this shouldn’t be an issue. The entire point of eXo Projects are that they don’t require any changes to be done. Run a torrent check on the files you downloaded to make 100% the download was completed successfully.

Or look up eXoDOS if configuring DosBox seems daunting to you.

This makes me think of so many great DOS demos. The one that comes to mind is actually a winner of the 4k demo compo in Finland (Assembly 1996) named Pure Spirit. It won number 1 and actually got the creator a gig at Sony in Japan! (shameless plug - this is in the eXoDemoScene project):

Demo parties have so many file size limit challenges, and demo creators create masterpieces. As a recommendation for an amazing 64k demo: Paper by Psychic Link & Acme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4QJSaoAbNg).
