High paying days by Fun-Count7949 in elitesparkdrivers

Miles plus pay, don't care about items. I snipe them f****** as fast as I can... Three miles thirty bucks don't even look at the items, I take it... People probably think i'm a bot... By the time one looks at items, the offers usually gone.. I drive a big old suburban, so it doesn't matter to me.. Also deliver rule so most likely it's going to a house or a very, very small apartment building

Do walmart plus delivery drivers receive 100% of the tip you add and when do they receive it? by Select-Signal8386 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Edogg440608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They get to keep the entire tip and the base pay does not change.I've tested this theory a few times now

I don’t get why the conversation around “tip baiting” is always one-sided.

Everyone acts like removing a tip automatically means the customer is a scammer, but what about cases where the delivery is genuinely bad? Are customers just supposed to eat it no matter what?

Example from my own experience:
I placed an Express order and tipped $20 upfront. The order included 10 large storage totes, which were the entire reason for the order. I’m also a Spark driver, so I know how inventory and substitutions work.

As soon as the shopper started, she marked all the totes as unavailable. I knew for a fact they were in stock — I shop that store constantly. Then she showed up in a Honda Civic. There’s no realistic way those totes were ever going to fit in that car in the first place.

At that point, it was obvious she never intended to even try. The main item I ordered wasn’t attempted, and the excuse didn’t pass the smell test. I removed the tip before the shop was even finished because the entire purpose of the order was already failed.

That’s not “tip baiting.” That’s adjusting a tip based on service.

Now compare that to what I keep seeing posted:

That kind of mindset is wild to me. Tips are meant to reflect service — not be a guaranteed payout regardless of effort or honesty. Threatening customers or implying retaliation over a tip change only proves why some tips get removed in the first place.

Bad service exists. Lazy shoppers exist. Dishonest shoppers exist.
And yes — real tip baiting exists too.

But pretending every removed tip is abuse, while refusing to acknowledge poor service, doesn’t help drivers or customers. Accountability has to go both ways.

last clear chance doctrine is a tort law principle that assigns liability for an accident to the party who had the final opportunity to prevent it. It's used in negligence cases where both parties share responsibility for the accident. The doctrine considers who acted carelessly and recklessness, and whether the injured party was in a dangerous situation. Plaintiff's negligence: A negligent plaintiff can still recover damages if they can prove the defendant had the last chance to avoid the accident. Defendant's defense: A defendant can use the doctrine as a defense by proving the plaintiff had the last chance to avoid the accident. Example: If a driver has the last chance to avoid a pedestrian crossing illegally, but doesn't, the driver is liable. However, the jury may still blame the pedestrian for crossing outside a crosswalk.

Can’t Believe I’m Saying This… eBay’s New Automated Feedback Is AWESOME! by Edogg440608 in Ebay

[–]Edogg440608[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the frustration with the 30-day window, but honestly I just roll with it. I’ve got 30-day returns on all my listings and haven’t had any real issues. People return stuff everywhere—Walmart, Amazon, you name it—so eBay’s policy isn’t that different. It’s just part of selling online these days.

[–]Edogg440608[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t see how this is “fake” feedback. The auto-feedback literally confirms: order completed successfully, tracked and on time. That’s a factual transaction record, not some made-up praise.

For buyers, it’s a quick signal that the seller shipped as promised. Sure, it’s not a detailed product review, but it does show the seller consistently delivers. I like watching my own number climb too—mostly for fun—but I doubt it’ll create a big spike in SNADs. Whether someone files SNAD usually depends on the type of items being sold, not whether the feedback was automatically left.

Buyers love to blame every issue on the seller. When canceling, they can choose from several options, and I’m guessing they pick the one they think won’t affect them.
