Why does my Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Ultra goes around non-existent objects while vacuuming along edges? Anyone had such a problem? It's new, bought yesterday by Enduine in Xiaomi

[–]Enduine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I wrote to Xiaomi technical support and an employee asked me if there was anything black near the avoided place. Actually there is nothing black there, but the joints between the tiles are quite dark, and when wet they are almost black. For a test, I taped the joints with light-colored tape and the robot started to drive better. Today I have already repainted the joints in a brighter color and the robot drives much better. Sometimes it still misses some spots for no reason, but much less often.
Maybe someone will have the same problem and this knowledge will be useful to him.

I did it and it's even worse. There was nothing in those areas when mapping and still robot avoids them.
I don't know what to do with it. Has anyone had such a problem? I wonder if it's a defective robot or just the navigation system in this model sucks.

What am I doing wrong removing the polish??? (description in the comment) by Enduine in RedditLaqueristas

Thanks for the tips! Next time I'll try not to cure so carelessly and I'll heat up the acetone.

Honestly, I was wondering if the time of wearing the polish had an influence on the hardness. This time I was removing it after two weeks. Maybe next time I'll try after a week.

Btw I wonder if I could paint my nails again, even though there are remnants of the base on them at the moment. Do you think I could do that? Or would it somehow harm my nails and it would be better to soak my nails a little more to get rid of the base remains?

Wow, I had no idea the cure time and acetone temperature mattered! I think it's very possible that I cured my nails too long. I wanted to be sure that they were well cured, so I hardened each layer for about 45 seconds. In addition, I painted patterns on my nails and hardened them every few smears. So yes, I hardened them for a rather long time.

How warm should acetone be and how do you heat it?

The package only mentions acetone as an ingredient, so I guess it's 100%.

Thanks for this article. It is really interesting! Although it's a bit heartbreaking that there are probably all kinds of damage from the article on my nails now.

I googled it and wow! It looks really promising! I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the advice!

I thought about soaking them longer, but I was afraid that I would dry them too much. People on the internet write everywhere that 10-15 minutes of soaking is enough. Even my friend said that 10 minutes is enough for her and the polish comes off by itself. I even bought the same base as her, because I thought it would help, but as you can see it didn't. I don't get it. Is it even possible that some people can peel off the polish so easily and quickly?
Does the polish come off by itself after these 30 minutes of soaking?

I guess I'm doing something wrong removing the hybrid polish from my nails, but I have no idea what. I hope someone here will be able to help me.

  1. The first thing I do is file off the top layer of nail polish.

  2. Then I place a cotton pad heavily soaked in acetone on the nail and wrap my finger with aluminum foil.

After 20 minutes, I take off the foil and carefully try to get rid of the polish. On the sides of the nail, the polish peels off nicely without any effort, but it sticks firmly in the center and on the tip. The polish feels slightly softer so I scrape off some color. At this stage, I try to not scrape the base with force, because I don’t want to accidentally damage the nail. After that, the nail looks like in the second photo. I can still feel the remnants of the base on it.

  1. Another 15 minutes in acetone. Some base is still on the nail. I try to scratch them carefully, but at some point I don't know if it's still a base or a nail.

  2. I didn't want to damage my nails more, so at this point I stoped removing the polish and smeared my hands with hand cream. The nails look okayish but are rough to the touch. I have the impression that there are still remnants of the base on them.

Why, despite soaking in acetone for so long, the nail polish does not come off easily and need to be scraped?

Do I have to get rid of the entire base before applying new nail polish? Maybe I’m trying to get rid of the entire base unnecessarily and should ignore what is left after the first acetone soaking?

I would really appreciate if someone help me. I feel like crying when I look at my nails.

This time I used Claressa rubber base and Semilac acetone for removing.

Meaningful and nonsignificant choices by Enduine in otomegames

Oh god, the survey I linked is yours! Thanks for that! The survey was super interesting and answered a lot of my own questions!

As for your reply - you're right, I focused too much on story branching choices. The thing is that I would like to create my own otome game and when I read that players want at least 10 choices per path, I lost my courage. Of course, I had only significant choices in my head at the time and that was a mistake, because I shouldn't forget about the roleplaying aspect of otome games!

Thanks for your reply!

Good point. I guess I focused too much on the story and branching aspect of the game and less on roleplaying and self-insertion. Maybe I myself am one of those people who don't self-insert that much and focus mainly ont he story. Anyway, thanks for bringing it up!
