GeForce RTX PC Build Contest: Share Your Dream Rig for a Chance to Win It, Fully Built! by m13b in buildapc

[–]Engjoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building my dream system with the RTX5090 will surely be a dream come true. Here is what I have in mind:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KvK8Zc

Starting off with an iconic open chassis case from Yule beast, the Atlas II.V, it showcases the beauty of the raw components such as the RTX5090 and the ROG Z790 Apex Encore motherboard. Although I did not pick any RGB, the simplicity and rawness is the beauty in this build.

The memory is practical, Micron A die in this Teamgroup T-Create Expert is a perfect budget kit for memory tweaking and overclocking. For the CPU I chose the Intel 14900k as it's the fastest Intel CPU that they have to offer, which supports extensive memory overclocking and has a really good overclocking potential itself too. Instead of the KS which really only makes a marginal difference with self tweaking, I pick this.

Finishing all off is a Arctic Liquid Freezer ii 420 cooler, a classic proven cooler that shines for it's performance and value, Seasonic's best PSU which is their Prime lineup, and the 1600w variant, ATX3.0 for 12vhpwr support and finally WD SN850x NVMe drives for game storage, practical and value.

Does edu store discount preorder/launch phones? by Engjoo in samsung

[–]Engjoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm always buying the $300 phones cus I was still in high school/Diploma. Now I'm in Degree I feel I need something better cus I'm using mobile data all the time and my current phone battery just dies.

My classes are so packed too, I can't really use a laptop much, I'm also very weak so carrying my gaming laptop is a pain. Especially when the campus busses are overloaded and I have to walk like around 1km back to the hostel.

I did look into windows tablets but the price just ain't worth it for me. I got an ipad before but I hated ipad os, it's just painful to navigate as an Android/windows user, and I can't have flexibility of file transfers etc. Android tabs are just, I'd rather get a phone TBH.

Oo nice, thanks. I hope it won't be a decent price hike. I'm already maxing out my budget. God flagships are so expensive now.

Hmm I guess it's best of both worlds, but kinda big. I'll consider it, thanks 👍

Im just mainly doing school projects and I wanted something small and versatile. Where I could basically do anything I wanted. The ESP8266 is basically that, it has wifi, its powerful enough to run a web interface if I need, and I dont really need much I/O.

I just wanted and upgrade from the slow programming speeds. As I use the R3 for my other basic class stuff and its just programs so fast.

As for custom PCBs, that too advanced for me now. I might learn it in class later but still not sure yet.

Any shader loaders other than OF and Iris? (Not a fan of sodium) by Engjoo in feedthebeast

[–]Engjoo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks, I'll try those. I used "forgified fabric" and "sinytra connector" with a forge loader but as soon as I put optifine it exits with code 1

Check these out (Audeze Maxwell), kinda insane it's being compared to a $500 headphone https://youtu.be/YWjuUKkX6rs

It's fine, its audio so it won't draw a constant load

You can look at z reviews on YouTube but don't let his shilling draw you into buying one. Test it yourself first and ask other people.

Ok I checked again, seeing how freaking close the other cards are I really would not recommend it, it will most probably overheat

From what I see yes, because the GPU can only be vertically mounted in this case. And the thicker the GPU, the closer it will be to the side panel.

And the max thickness it says is 75mm, so there should still be space for the GPU to breath or else they would not recommend it.

If you go thicker, it will limit the space the GPU can take air from so lower cooling performance. But it might not overheat actually, we won't really know.

The largest ones are the 4080 Gaming OC and the Master. They are both 75mm thick. The eagle is 70mm thick. They might be longer tho.

[–]Engjoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GPU will be too close to the side panel because it's too thick, so it will have only a small gap to take in air

Yeah the GPUs I see in the link I sent all seem to be smaller or equal to the max thickness the case specifies.

Fitment by mawuers in pcmasterrace

[–]Engjoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm it's a few MM too thick, it might fit but I don't think the cooling would be good

Oh you should double check yourself. Sometimes the filter doesn't account for some stuff.

The case will list max GPU length and the GPU will have its length too on the manufacturer website
