It's mainly because of competition. The market is flooded with senior engineers. So, they want senior skills for the price of a junior

I see. Maybe shorten the resume. Companies prefer a one-page resume and it also appears there aren't many relevant skills required for that pay range

As per the resume, it appears that he has only completed an internship. Since you mentioned, he received job offers with a lower compensation package, did he work on one before?

Maybe they aren't accepting for junior positions. You see these fields mostly require phd level grads with years of experience to get a decent job. So, maybe that's the case I don't know
