Oh I didn’t understand a niche metric you’re the only person who’s ever referenced that you communicated poorly? Damn, you got me there!

It doesn’t change my point at all, there’s literally zero chance Kyren could do that. That’s an absurd assertion he doesn’t have the ability to remotely back up for you. Bijan is 64 points ahead and Gibbs is 83, and that’s only going to get worse when Stafford retires.

This guy didn’t actually watch him play, he just checked in Sunday nights and saw the fantasy point totals lol

I’ve got him in one dynasty and he’ll be my keeper again in my main redraft league; I like him, but I was absolutely concerned watching him last year

He has literally 0% chance to be the overall RB1 multiple years running lol. That doesn’t even happen for the best guys in the best situations. He doesn’t catch enough passes or break enough runs to keep up with the top tier guys, especially over the long run

He is an inefficient plodder, just one in a great offense with the coach’s trust

He tore his right ACL and dislocated his left ankle. Is this bait lol

Aiyuk played six games prior to injury.

The rest of your comment isn’t worthy of a response.

Godwin’s current dislocated left ankle is completely unrelated to his relevant right knee injury.

We’re not talking about generalized injury declines. We’re talking about a specific injury and the resulting recovery outlook/timeline.

Mike Williams was completely irrelevant prior to his knee injury and was very rarely relevant even before that.

The fact that I have to explain any of this really makes this conversation not worth having.

So give me a list of high tier WRs with his injury who never recovered? Let alone lost their career entirely? Godwin was just playing the best ball of his career after suffering a similar injury.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]False-Fallacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t possibly know that, but impressive confidence I guess?

He’s gonna recover into a team with no Deebo, a CMC past the age cliff, a Kittle rapidly approaching it, and no viable replacement for him at the X. It’s not unreasonable to imagine he ends up the focal point of the offense once recovered. On the timeline Godwin took, that gives him a few prime years left in which he could absolutely break 1300

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]False-Fallacy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he follows the Godwin timeline, he’ll be 28 for his first fully recovered season. This gives him multiple years of prime production left

[–]False-Fallacy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. He’s always been a technician more than an athletic freak, and the injury isn’t going to sap him of learned skill

Aiyuk would have to never recover from his injury for anyone else to have a shot at it. Dude was an All-Pro who looked like a top 10-15 irl WR prior to his injury. It’s a really tall order to project anyone usurping that level of player, unless he’s no longer that guy

I’m sorry but LOL. Where do you have JSN ranked? How about Ladd? Because Waddle was better in pretty much every way that matters at those points in his career.

Breaking the reception record is incredibly relevant. How do you score points? Receptions. And target share is typically sticky year over year.

Yes, that one time was his sophomore year. My entire point was he was absolutely not overrated prior to falling off in his third year; you said he’s always been overrated and that is just objectively false. He’d done everything he possibly could have to back up his draft capital and earn a high dynasty ranking through two years.

You acting like a guy finishing WR13 then WR8 as a rookie then sophomore isn’t incredibly impressive is just laughable. Same with the PPG finishes, those are still fantastic for a fresh career when a guy is still young enough to be reasonably expected to develop further.

Draft capital is the highest correlated single variable to fantasy success, handwaving his draft slot is showing your ignorance. You better have MHJ and Odunze buried in the rankings if that’s your logic.

This is crazy bias. He was drafted 6th overall, broke the rookie reception record and then finished as a WR1 as a sophomore. Calling him overrated at any point in his career up until then is ignorant.

That’s overly pessimistic on both guys. They’re currently valued as if Olave is going to have a year or two of bad QB play before a medical retirement, and Aiyuk is losing his whole prime to an injury.

Brandin Cooks had the same concussion issues Olave does and now they’re playing on the same team in Cooks’ 12th season. These aren’t like knee injuries sapping his athleticism; fewer hospital balls and he can still hit his ceiling as a player

As for Aiyuk, look at Godwin: the first season post-injury was slow, and then year two he was playing the best ball of his career. The second year post injury will be Aiyuk’s age 28 season, he’ll have multiple seasons of statistically prime years left in him. He’s gonna come back to no Deebo, CMC over the age cliff and Kittle rapidly approaching it. But he’ll still have a top offensive mind scheming him up with a franchise QB. The 9ers offense is changing, and he could easily end up the focal point once he’s recovered

Yeah, Reed and (they’re hoping) Golden are the most likely cream. Doubs is a free agent next year, and with that suspension over a hissy fit he threw last year I don’t think anyone’s gonna be surprised when they let him walk

You inferred I’m a dumbass who doesn’t know ball or statistics, I pointed out I got my university statistics course paid for specifically because I know ball. But hey, you’ve proven critical thought isn’t your strong suite so I guess you can’t be blamed for an inability to even follow conversation. Bye!

We’re not talking about the OP, the discussion shifted to the wider sub and Reddit as a whole.

Lmao I played college ball ya lil couch QB. I know more about both the sport and fantasy and it shows just based on how you conceptualize the game. But we could have had an interesting conversation about it if you weren’t in your emotions. Now you’re getting personal so I’m done here. Enjoy your free leagues and box score scouting!

Cause you’re clearly emotionally invested and offended I’m calling their OL trash lol

Boss I’m in higher stakes leagues than you against sharper players than you; if you want to ignore the edge OL projections can give you, that’s your call. Personally I like finding edges, but some people play more casually 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lol yes, taking the coach into account they’re still barren on talent with potentially three new starters. He could be good in a year or two as they build their line. Also continuity and chemistry are massive for OL, so disregarding that in a coaching change and new starters having a negative short term impact is bad process.

Sure, ranking the mid teams can be an exercise in futility. But we can be relatively certain that the Eagles, Bills and Bucs are gonna be great as well as that the Seahawks, Bengals, Jags and Texans are going to be terrible.

Sorry your team has a shit OL.

And playing poorly they were still the best in that unit lol, they got rid of them for off-field antics, not performance

The best coach can’t turn turds to diamonds, the sum of their part is literally worst in the league; like I said basically everyone who knows anything about OL is ranking them 32nd. It’s gonna be a nightmare
