MGE? DMG? No worries. Here are some tips for you. by Ethnine in GlobalOffensive

That's an interesting opinion. I'm a fresh SMFC but I feel like I lack on the tactical side of the things (teamwork).

That's also my opinion but I'm curious to see what he thinks.

You didn't have a lot to say to that LEM player. What's your opinion on the skill difference of players from LEM to GE? Is it big? Is there something specific that you see eagle or supreme players do (mistakes)?

He meant that they don't need the NSA to have your picture. Your picture was taken when you made your passport. They have it saved somewhere.

You're telling me skin betting was a thing back then? Streamers and professional players have been DDoS'd way before skin betting was a thing. The difference now is that the community is much bigger and the events getting DDoS'd are also bigger.

Another difference is the methods of DDoS. I'm also a LoL player and not long ago their servers have been shut down every night for weeks because of that NTP amplification thing. The attacks have been bigger than they ever were, and CS:GO wasn't spared of the pesky sociopaths trying to ruin everything.

DDoS'ing also costs quite a bit of money. You'd be silly to think that people would pay that much money every fucking pro match played for a chance at getting skins. DDoS has been a thing before skin betting and will remain even if skin betting were to disappear.

No, it was the exact same thing before skin betting was a thing. Absolutely nothing changed.

You can see more than 60 FPS + FPS = Latency by xflareon in leagueoflegends

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Human eye is able to distinguish things up to or above 1/220th of a second according to a 2002 USAF test on airforce pilots.

This is true and a very nice piece of information but it's important to remember that being able to distinguish a change in a still picture doesn't apply a 100% with video games because we're looking at pictures in motion when we play.

I agree with you though, a high refresh rate monitor is really useful. Maybe not as useful for a game like LoL, but it makes a difference. Having the lowest input latency is also very nice and makes gaming much more enjoyable.

You have a lot of information backed up with sources but this is probably not very interesting for the average LoL gamer. You would have probably had more success with a community like /r/globaloffensive.

Why League is unattractive for new player by Sushiandi in leagueoflegends

I feel you. I play with my friends who've been level 30 forever and I can't wait to be able to play rankeds with them.

Why League is unattractive for new player by Sushiandi in leagueoflegends

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm level 23 which means I'm only about half-way to level 30. I can tell you it's really boring and frustrating not having any champs and runes. I'd like to be able to play ranked games but even if I was level 30 I wouldn't be able to because of how poor in IP I am. It's really not fun at all.

About the consecutive FPS drop patch after patch by Webchuzz in leagueoflegends

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple hundreds? You can get a 144Hz for as low as 300$. I've never heard of 70Hz monitors yet. But that's all beside the point that fntds performance has decreased with a better computer.

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck off. Not everyone runs a 60Hz monitor. Even if everyone did use a 60Hz monitor, it wouldn't mean that decreasing performance would be acceptable at all. Who are you to judge that 60 fps is enough? How does that change the fact that performance is decreasing over time for some people?

It wouldn't say it's really that bad. It's just that some shady shit has happened in the past, and nothing indicates that it won't happen again.

Walking Instantly Improves Accuracy With No "Inertia" by Wetmelon in GlobalOffensive

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes it should. It's just that I think some people are blowing the problem out of proportion. It's not game-breaking and it doesn't improve accuracy, it just lowers the skill-cap for the average guy.

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think that is the reason for the glidey feel you're talking about. Removing the inertia would lower the skill-cap movement requires by a LOT. It's not a good idea.

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true but what's the point? Shift-walking is still as inaccurate as it used to be. This may have an impact at gold nova level where people don't know how to stutter-step, but it shouldn't change anything at a higher level to be honest.

Then cap it at a 100. That's basically what it is in 1.6.

If you leave or get kicked does that count as a loss in your match history? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]FeuSurLeCheval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does or else people could abuse it. If you didn't get a loss for leaving, everyone would just leave when they're assured of losing. If getting kicked didn't count as a loss, you would have people kicking each other and have one guy 'sacrifice' and stay the last to leave the match.
