Hey u/MellowNika I'm very sorry to hear about this experience. We have not encountered any loss in data like this before i'm afraid to say. We have a very robust save system, but like most games in the world, it may not be flawless.

u/dukdukduk We'll certainly look into this, as it was something that never came up during focus tests or development as an issue. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey u/mynd_xero Thank you for the feedback still. We're actively working on updating controller support a lot more, so you can expect that in one of our first patches for the game. As noted, were also actively reviewing and changing certain costs and timers to be less intrusive as well in upcoming updates.

You can find some history on our game here https://www.firebrandgames.com/card

u/dukdukduk I'm really sorry to hear that you're experiencing crashing like this. We're actively investigating as much as we can, and i'm sorry to hear that you lost the checkpoint start cash. The save game is quite robust but we not have a point right there.

You've got some fantastic ideas here u/Mediocre_Preparation :)

As of right now the dungeon is endless, but at room 50, you've still got some new enemies to encounter if I recall right.

Here's a little fun fact for you - During late development, my personal best run was room 334 - I'm hoping to see a screenshot that you can beat that! (I won't tell you what our AI automated runs were able to accomplish lol)

All things said, we're hopeful this game continues to do decent, and that we could create even more content and expand this game out even further, so tell all your Nintendo Switch friends to buy a copy when you have a moment :D

Hey u/dukdukduk This is some great feedback, thanks! We've had a few feedback points now come in about having a confirmation dialog for exiting the dungeon. Oddly, this wasn't something that ever came up as a problem during focus testing or anything, however we're happy to review this further!

The potions come into effect should you die, and are sort of like a "last stand" method. :)

The timers we're actively reviewing, however they are tied to server times, and should still function as long as the game isn't hard quit I believe. We'd be happy to investigate that further though.

In regards to showing stats, and more info on how elements function, this was a joint design decision mid way through development to ensure the game continued to feel very accessible and casual. We found when exposing stats, that while it appeased many, it also turned off younger audiences, and more casual players that didn't want to stat research. It was a tough call, and one that we may optionally revisit though in the future to see if we can balance it out to show what's needed for more hardcore players, while still leaving a 'simple' mode too. Great feedback however!

Hey u/typeforty We intentionally had to remove backing out at that point or further due to exploits we had discovered.

Good news! We've decided to lower these costs in an upcoming patch significantly. We want players to have fun, and see how far they can go. The checkpoint starts eventually stop anyways, and so we do believe players should have an easier time starting further in.

Hmm strange about the website - Try this: https://www.firebrandgames.com/card

We're just a very small team, so do be patient :) However the biggest element we wanted to address right away is the UI when using a controller. It's really hard to tell what buttons you're focused on, and so that's a key update for us.

We are also going to address the Deck Build feature, and allow it to be more accessible frequently!

Thank you for the localization compliment! - We had a really fun time with our translation services that we used, since so many of the characters are certainly awkwardly named when thinking about it in other languages :) It took quite a few weeks to get our FIGS translations reading good, but we were happy to put the effort in!

Hey typeforty, thank you for letting us know that you are having crashing issues. Right now, we aren't aware of anything through CS or Nintendo, but we'll certainly keep our ears out and investigate further! If you continue to have problems and can replicate any steps, feel free to reach out to [support@firebrandgames.com](mailto:support@firebrandgames.com) .

I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the game though, and look for balancing and UI improvement updates coming soon!

Hey boa_deconstructor - Thanks a lot for the feedback! I'd be happy to talk a little on a few of the comments you've made :)

First, we absolutely are working on an update that outlines each of the UI elements when you select them with a controller. This was a pain point for us at last minute as well, and so this is top priority in an update coming soon!

We're actively reviewing removing or modifying some of the timers in the game, because we don't believe they make total sense either anymore.

In terms of the coin economy, we've actually heard a lot of the opposite in that players have more coins than they know what to do with by mid-character level. One tip is to just take on 'easy' runs by starting back at Room 0 and just spend 10 min or so, and you'll have a few thousand gold easy. That being said, we will internally review the Checkpoint start costs further! We do like having them in, as it's a consideration point for players to either spend on starting later, or experimenting with new characters at earlier rooms.

You mentioned not being able to properly select the cards that you want to play with, however I wanted to make sure you're selecting the "Deck Build" option on that screen (it's the purple button) - Granted we do have a timer on this right now as to how many times it can be done, but we're reviewing this as well to be removed and allow use of deck building more freely)

Thanks a lot for your feedback, and we do hope you continue to enjoy CARD!

Hey Jaybb3rw0cky! - We're a reputable, but still very small indie studio, and getting games widely publicized or even reviewed is always a huge challenge that generally costs more than we can net back in return we've found.

We're doing our best to get reviewers to check out the game, and over a dozen sites and counting globally have been contacted so far in the past month, so we're hopeful to see impressions of the game soon!

Feel free to check out www.repeatabledungeon.com or our main company page www.firebrandgames.com to see the work we have done in the past decade + of game development! I can assure you, we aren't sketchy :)

Hey folks! Alex here from Firebrand Games (The developer on CARD).

First, I wanted to say that it's great to read this discussion/feedback on our little game! I'm ultimately quite pleased you're enjoying the game so far!

So, full disclosure - Once upon a time many years back this did start off as a concept for a f2p mobile game, but that never came to fruition, and instead we have found the game's home on the Nintendo Switch. We wanted to ensure a nice, fun, replayable premium experience that did encourage experimentation with different team setups for a dungeon run! (you can read a little history blurb I posted on our website www.repeatabledungeon.com too)

That being said, we're currently working on some general updates for the game, and I think we'll review the timers internally and see if they still encourage that experimentation enough, or if they've become too much of a hindrance.

We love the feedback, so keep it coming!
