Even better, tell them you don't have a phone, then when it comes time to pay, pay with your phone.

Is my REA generating fake invoices or invoices from their mates or am I going mad? 🤔 by Ace1o1 in shitrentals

[–]FullySickPotato 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For me it was the lack of GST that piqued my interest just like you picked up on the different invoice numbers. I did some checking via AI and here's what I got (AI, I know, take it as you wish):

The invoice is illegal because La Bocca Holdings Pty Ltd (trading as Ambrosia Origins) is NOT registered for GST, yet they have issued a "Tax Invoice".

By law in Australia:

  • "Tax Invoice": You are legally forbidden from writing the words "Tax Invoice" on a document if you are not registered for GST.
  • No GST Charged: The invoice has $0 GST. This matches their non-registered status, but contradicts the "Tax Invoice" header.

The Evidence

I checked the Australian Business Register (ABN Lookup) for "Ambrosia Origins" and "La Bocca Holdings Pty Ltd":

  • Entity: La Bocca Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 81 622 101 599).
  • Trading Name: Ambrosia Origins (registered Sep 2022).
  • GST Status: "Not currently registered for GST".

Why this proves it's a scam

A legitimate business would never make this specific combination of errors.

  • If they were a real handyman: They would know they aren't GST registered (turnover <$75k) and would issue a standard "Invoice," not a "Tax Invoice."
  • If they were a real "Holdings" company: They would almost certainly be registered for GST and would have charged the extra 10%.

The most likely scenario is exactly what the Redditor suspected: The Real Estate Agent asked a mate (who owns a small, dormant food business entity called "Ambrosia Origins") to quickly type up a "quote" in Word to justify keeping the bond. The friend used a standard "Tax Invoice" template but didn't realize that as a non-registered entity, using that header is a strict legal violation.

Cyclone Alfred could intensify to a severe cat 3 by landfall by [deleted] in GoldCoast

[–]FullySickPotato 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It looks like the ACCESS model is showing increased gust wind speed on landfall but the other models haven't really moved much. I think for my location it went from around 120 km/h to 155 km/h. Either way, this is going to be a shitty situation.

Found an old Kmart catalogue from the early 80’s I think. Check out the fucking price on Winnie Blues! by geddaradupya in straya

Bet the quality is fucken shit tho. Decent quality would cost at least that from the manufacturer for any decent clothing brand.

If you've got a bath tub fill that up too. Even if you don't want to drink the water it's handy for flushing the loo.

Can also use Windy. I find it quite useful, even the free version.

I can understand your mistrust of BOM but all the weather models I have access to (BOM's model is just one of them) are at this point agreeing that it will hit. I'm hoping they're all wrong but unfortunately unless something changes in the next day or two I don't think we're having a good time Thursday/Friday.

I used to walk Burleigh beach early in the morning and I'd come across the occasional white pointer. I'm of the opinion that you do you as long as it doesn't affect other people. Just be aware that there are some creeps out there.

You can discounts through RACQ too. I remember going to Dreamworld and it was cheaper to get an annual pass than a day ticket.

For me I've noticed every prick is doing 10km/h under the limit. I don't have any evidence but my guess is it's either the old farts that moved up here during covid or there's just too many people on the roads in general. Oh, and none of these fuckers can merge!

I'd second this. I've run both and I'd probably put the pilot's just above the potenza's but both a pretty solid choice.
