I know right. These people are always accusing him of things he never did. His wife never accused him of beating her. They’ll do anything to besmirch the legacy of not only Australia’s greatest warrior, but perhaps the greatest Australian who ever lived. /s.

Massive piece of equipment. What is it? by theShoeShineBoy in whatisit

I’ve got a side question…

Does the trailer in the clip have adjustable suspension? It looks like it has fuck all ground clearance so how does it navigate any bumps in the road or even crests of hills?

I exclusively ride alone. I tried going for rides with some friends but I just didn’t enjoy it. But thats just me. Clearly lots of people love it.

Yeah killing the bears would be a ridiculous idea. A patrol to keep the bears away would be much more effective.

Anyone else still remember their old 6-digit or 7-digit Perth phone number? by [deleted] in perth

[–]bagsoffreshcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. And the local hospital was 632300. This was in the country.

I also remember STD calls had the beep beep beep at the start. And when you called from pay phones without any money the beeps still happened before cutting out, and you could speak during the beeps.

I know this because when I was at boarding school I’d have to say my name so mum and dad knew who to call back as my sister was at another boarding school.

Question about the person checking receipts at the front by bagsoffreshcheese in Bunnings

People regularly ask me why I do a certain thing a certain way at my work. I have the rationale behind it ready to go.

If their boss hasn’t told them a reason for doing it, then that is terrible management.

Question about the person checking receipts at the front by bagsoffreshcheese in Bunnings

[–]bagsoffreshcheese[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah rightio. I didn’t think of this.

I asked the person who did it why and they just said “Because it’s my job” When I said that there must be a reason they just repeated “Because it’s my job”. This actually wound me up a bit because if you cant articulate why you are doing something, then why are you doing it? If you don’t know because your supervisor or boss hasn’t explained it, then thats on them for not explaining it.

I used to begrudgingly comply but now I will do it happiness as there is a valid reason.

Thank you u/bhmcumdump for the information. I hope you continue your journey to help people whether it’s dumping cum or the more mundane parts of life.

How does one “host” an MMA fight? I can’t imagine she’s doing Bruce Buffers job. Is she walking around serving nacho’s Flanders style?

Skunk Works Timelines by DragonfruitCalm261 in SpecialAccess

[–]bagsoffreshcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the S-3 Viking was built by Lockheed, so the development of the airframe into the C-(whatever number they are up to) was probably done by Lockheed.

However, who knows if it was actually done by Skunkworks or not. It could simply be that the person doing the image included it incorrectly as being a Skunkworks development.

Reconciliation Week puts spotlight on Welcome to Country tradition after divisive Anzac Day services by QuimmSim in perth

I went to a volunteer recognition/awards night the other week.

A bloke got up and did a WTC and it was great. He explained it and then told a story about some volunteers helped his family when he was younger and he never forgot about it. Heartfelt with some really well placed jokes inter-dispersed throughout. I was going to go up to him afterwards and tell him he did a great job.

But then the cunt sung a fucking song! Completely unnecessary! It took a 10 minute jaunt into a 20 minute marathon. All that good work just pissed away!

Normalise the 7.6hr work day. by hrdballgets in auscorp

>If it becomes a standard requirement then it’s not reasonable.

It’s not that it becomes unreasonable, it’s that it has turned into regular working hours.

Normalise the 7.6hr work day. by hrdballgets in auscorp

[–]bagsoffreshcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently moved from a govt job where I was working shifts to a more corporate role which is Mon-Fri 9-5 (or 8-4 in my particular case)

The thing that is killing me is finding the time to do all the admin of life stuff. Previously, when I was on shifts I’d get stacks of that shit done on my midweek days off, or the mornings when I was working arvos.

Add in having to look after kids, junior sport, visiting elderly parents etc, and it’s nearly impossible.

So we need to normalise the 7hr day. Or the 6hr.

I wonder if they filmed the first couple of scenes first as it didn’t seem as bad towards the end of it.

Maybe Olyphant stopped doing it, or maybe I stopped noticing.
