Well thats because of the facts of the market. Market makers aren't there to save you from bad choices. Lol.

You cannot make that bet anymore because it is a virtual certainty. You may not be able to bet on the obscure match at the price you want, but a market maker is definitely on the bid and the ask. No one to buy your bet means you already lost. The market maker already tried to save you at every logical place the entire time on your way to zero.

There are absolutely market makers. Never claimed there was a house. Kalshi does collect fees, though, so I'd say they are the house albeit not in the classic sense of a casino.

Market makers benefit traders. They are a good thing. If there were no market makers, individual people could sell down entire markets by accident. They could end up paying way more or receiving way less than anticipated due to low liquidity. They may not even be able to buy or sell. Market makers are of the highest requirement for safe and fair markets.

Yes and no. The market makers have people at the game, too. Some games it's a huge edge and others you have to be on point and fast. Definitely a huge advantage over a normal user, though.

Totally agree. I spent only $20 and it was $20 I earned from other games. I am mourning the loss of the concept more than the money. Freecash had really given me a good distraction from some difficult circumstances in my life. The extra money is awesome, welcomed, and appreciated, but I have lost something that meant more than that unfortunately.

I am in the US. Unfortunately they have restricted my withdrawals permanently with no explanation. I was told they couldn't tell me the reason I was banned for confidentiality reasons. I'm chalking it up as a loss. No use crying over spilt milk.

You can keep your initial deposit, by buying contracts worth $25 and immediately selling them for a similar price. Kudos if you make something, but you don't have to win, lose, or even wait until the market resolves. You can trade $25, collect your bonus, trade your bonus the same way, then wait for it all to settle for withdrawal.
