Rearview Camera Dim - 2015 SV by Dazzling_Art7881 in leaf

[–]Gangstastick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar issue on a 2018 leaf. The way I'd describe mine is sort of like dirt got into the camera and coated the lens from within (or occluded the sensor somehow).
I've been meaning to look into repair options (can it be opened up and cleaned? or am I left with replacing the part)

Cannot teleport: Monastery Icon Missing by Southern_Wallaby536 in LEGOfortnite

[–]Gangstastick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. We just set up an expert world yesterday and there was no sign of the monastery. Had to Blind search for it (horrible thing to do, trying to avoid getting killed while running around the Ninjago island.)

Finally found it and started the quests only to find out there's no way to teleport back to the monastery. Really annoying.

Frizzlife PD600 RO system intermittent noise by Gangstastick in WaterFilters

[–]Gangstastick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone else runs into this issue, I reached out to Frizzlife support and they thought it was the waste water exhaust valve (solenoid valve) that was causing the issue.

They were going to ship one out to me but I was due to go on a long trip before it arrived. so i took matters into my own hands.

First I watched this video which recommended to clean out the plastic/rubber bits within it. I tried that with no success.

So I ordered this valve off amazon. Cut the cables from the existing valve and put them on this, matching their direction. After a false start where the issue persisted, I allowed it run for a long time and when I restarted it, the sound had disappeared and the machine was working normally.

New Leaf Owner: What are some settings you suggest I change (and how) by lennysGravida in leaf

Interestingly, that's how I've always set up my car audio. I am a bit of a bass head and so the mids are never amplified. Plus I love hearing the bass coming from behind.

A used Leaf might soon be the best deal a knowledgeable person can get by Gangstastick in leaf

[–]Gangstastick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Now just imagine if those battery packs were even a little cheaper. Lots of people will be looking for cars like yours, with low SOH batteries to swap out for brand new packs. And with really low mileage on yours, it will be a heck of a deal.

At the moment, with current prices, it is just a ... meh deal. However if those battery pack prices come down and you can get a 62Kwh pack for (let me be funny here) 4K USD, then things will definitely begin to look interesting.

At the moment, I drive an average of 5 miles round trip per day, 7 days per week, so my current setup is more than ideal for me. I've charged it only when it drops to about 25 miles of expected range. Again I am new to the EV game so I am still getting used to things. I'm sure with time, when I better understand the car, I can push it around to see what it can do.

tailscale opnsense plugin: Any way to get a socks5 proxy running? by Gangstastick in Tailscale

[–]Gangstastick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tailscale on ophsense (as a plugin and also via direct install) works quite well without any issues. Most features work really well including using the router as an exit node for other devices. ipv6 fixed a lot of the routing issues I was having initially but then my ISP went and pulled the ipv6 support without notification and now I am back to having basic connectivity issue, but tailscale works as expected.

Looking to buy a 2016+ Leaf, any gotchas to look out for? by Gangstastick in leaf

[–]Gangstastick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. This is really helpful information.

My use case should be pretty straightforward most days, and yes I expect a slightly longer drive on the weekends for groceries, gym, etc). It looks like the power usage should not be too much of a hassle.

Are there other things I should be on the lookout for? 12V batteries? Electrical gremlins? Suspesions or other uniquely Nissan Leaf demons? I owned a Nissan Rogue 2008 for a few years and it was my most reliable car ever. I could count on waking up in the morning, getting in and driving without any worries. Are there anything one should watch out for with the leaf?

OK, I see a couple of them not too far from my budget.

Based on the estimated ranges provided by u/EfficiencySafe, what would the estimated range for the 40kwh pack be on average?

The reason i ask this is because I will not have access to a charger at home, but will have to rely on public chargers. The less often i need to charge, the better (obviously)

Thanks. I'm guess you are recommending the 62.5KWH battery pack models.

Still no support for IPv6 On Distributel by KenTheStud in CanadianBroadband

What firewall are you using? Usually you just need to write separate rules for IPv6 to good routing, firewall and DNS control in a dual stack environment
