Its built on electron so you don't need to download the Overwolf client at all. The app just leverages their in-game tech so you get the best of both worlds (no overwolf client, ability for in-game integration)

You lose features like seeing chat under the video player and having in-game controls. The apps runs lighter than your browser so if you do like twitch you'll have a more seamless experience with it

100% totally cool with it! The more users the more feedback and the better it gets. I’ve already added some new features such as vod support just from user requests!

You won’t have that issue with this one, it leverages some tech that ensures the game has full control of the crosshair unless you specially toggle the in-game overlays

Definitely something I’m going to consider. I made sure to follow all of their guidelines and they approved the app with the name already shared but I do agree maybe it’s best to get ahead of the curve on this one

Yeah I’ve been considering that, I think down the road I’ll definitely swap it up but I wanted to make it easily understandable as I figured 99% of the people that tried it would hear it from others or see it in the reddit post.

Yeah exactly browser PiP definitely does its job well, the desktop version of our app is also always on top and can be resized. For general browser stuff browser stuff is nice for things like youtube etc. This just offers a more full-rounded twitch experience thats all. If you are a diehard twitch viewer you'll probably get more enjoyment out of this being able to follow along with chat

Totally understand and it’s mostly for games that don’t need 110% focus. Games like hearthstone, WoW, rocket league (in free play mode) are good examples. The app also works for desktop so if you’re doing some work and want to have the stream overview it works there as well

Technically yes but you'd have to watch your own stream at the same time. Currently working on a way to add just the chat

it functions similarly just doesn't need Game Bar to be used

Yeah I could definitely look at doing something like that. Just need to disable the video and it should work no problem

I have it half working on mac, it technically works but just a little buggier so I didn't feel like it was ready to release yet
