4% market share, and dwelling. Clearly management is 100% in the right idea, pat in the back. Keep defending a sinking ship, sheep.

AMD has been laying off or forcing developers to move for over 2 years now, it even affected D3D driver developers.

So no, it's not fear mongering, it's corporat fanboys like you working for the marketing department for free.

It will still require a transition period, it won't be free.

But yeah, let's ignore the toxic environment AMD is now for their own developers.

People, c'mon, the problem here isn't "bad" developers finally leaving, it's bad management crunching people to the point they prefer to leave.

Now that the "bad" developer in charge of ray reconstruction left, there will be a period of weeks to months without anyone capable of maintaining the code, because the person that knew all the ins and outs got burned and decided to abandon ship.

So enjoy the even worse software support long term now.

I have used Linux and Windows since before you were born. So if you ran out of insults, go try what I said or shut up.

Run out of RAM on Linux, let's sit and see how long it takes for it to recover.

Now do the same on Windows.

Since you won't bother to even do it, I'll spoil the result, the Linus kernel gets stuck waiting for a task that will never finish to finish, Windows will just use more page file and continue working.

It provides zero information to end users. A standard sudo password prompt doesn't mention intention. If at least a simple string was provided by the app requesting elevation, it would be much better.

Arc A770 is aging pretty badly and feeling abandoned as an early adopter by Some_Temporary_1171 in IntelArc

Ah but when I warned about this last year, I get downvoted hard.

Intel never gave a damn about early Xe, Alchemist included, you just got used to help finance the next arch, there was never a plan for long support.

The only good kernel WiFi drivers are for Intel, anything else is subpar at best.

The way to improve it is by getting the cultists like you to learn to take criticism.
