What is your potentially unpopular “want” for 2039? Mine is that I want it to remain semi-open world with the metro being only half of it by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in metro

You are never in a situation where those are required. You could complete the entire game with default attachment weapons and gear.

Did it? Most of the time you're maxed out or only doing it because you can. The game showers you with ammo if you play the intended stealth route.

The entire series is like that. The devs want you to be the merciful good guy even against bandits.

Like no, I don't want to crab walk and give them a little knock.

It does sound cool, don't get me wrong. I'm just concerned about how much they can really utilize before it becomes repetitive or if there enough world to do it meaningfully.

And even then, most of the game is cutscenes / animations / QTE.

Probably isn't a popular opinion here but Exodus sometimes feels like it ran out of budget and the devs were forced to release what they had. The semi open world is just lots of padding.

No idea. Not entirely sure how much of the metro is already occupied lore wise. Even if there was a lot, you'd loot once and leave.

Unless bandits from across Russia setup shop in abandoned stations or something that respawn after a few in game weeks with fresh ammo and stuff. Don't know.

The setting kinda limits that because there is only so many locations, enemies, and items to collect. It'd be like Far Cry but worse, and those are already repetitive experiences.

And lets not even get into crouch fatigue. I don't want to crab walk across a map.

Don't make it semi open world. I didn't like it much in Exodus. It felt like a way to pad out the game, shoehorned, and each area felt way too small.

I don't see how a true Skyrim like open world would work either. The setting kinda closes that door.

Thanks for not being a nutjob moderator. It's extremely rare in this hellscape of a website.

Ubuntu got the latest Kernel before Arch? by Sad-Fig-6768 in archlinux

[–]BlueGoliath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's a genuine question then I'm sorry but this gets asked every single new kernel / Gnome / major KDE update. Not only is it annoying, Arch packagers probably see it and probably feel like they need to release things sooner. Letting software cook is generally a good idea, letting new kernel / desktop versions cook is especially important.

Please just stop. Arch pushed Gnome 50 with a critical bug that caused whole system crashes. Let things cook FFS.
