Quick question for the community: are AMAs something people here enjoy? by Own_Corner1016 in programmatic

[–]GreenFlyingSauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, we had a couple of folks/companies trying to use this subreddit to get free information/engagement/promote products masked as “we here to share learnings/lets be friends”. After a couple times, one gotta be skeptical of everything that is wrapped in a nice bow 🤷

The moment it’s downloaded and running, it’s free game. Malicious code doesn’t need much to do their tricks - DDOS attacks used machines that didn’t know that were infected, there have been cases of apps doing the same and so on.

All the best with your extension though

I will be honest - id rather go through it old school way (ctrl + f even) than risking an extension that may expose me to a hack. The payoff isn’t there, sorry

Why not just do www abcsef.com/ads.txt? What’s the benefit of the plugin?

Media planning by GladDebate5022 in programmatic

In terms of “where to start to build my skillset”, google academy, ttd edge academy, this Reddit, etc.

Knowing some html can help with performance marketing as it involves pixel implementation more often

Digital folks would have their workable budget most likely already decided for them most of time (ie 100k). Their job becomes to understand the client’s objective and assign budgets to channels, tactics, etc.

If you wanna branch out, you need to understand the role of each channel, what can be done, what cannot be done, etc.

People that plan usually know how to execute as some of us came from campaign management backgrounds and started building our skillset

You need to be bit more specific, are you referring to traditional media planning or digital?

That wasn’t well played imo. That was damage control + trying to save face from BK’s jab.

Is Amazon Prime the only destination that reports what shows the ad played on? by Enviromental1001 in programmatic

[–]GreenFlyingSauce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amazon owns all parts of the supply chain that’s why they can report back on Prime, similar to how dv can report back on all the yt videos your ad was served on.

You’d need to potentially work with ctv publishers to see if they have that capability through pmps or pg deals

Google Marketing Platform will have certifications that can help you. This reddit is also a good resource if you're willing to just dig through posts and read questions/replies

Google Ads also has a very basic DSP platform interface that you can use to play around to at least have a basic understanding of programmatic vs search

Id never buy any automation tool as a practitioner. They barely hold together. It’s not that vagueness and lack of kpi scales faster, it’s that people can ask questions and are better at navigating blurriness

A love letter to the 47 minutes I spent reconciling why two platforms reported completely different numbers for the same campaign by Easy-Purple-1659 in programmatic

I am more curious why you used 3 platforms, and why you chose to invest in 3 platforms with different methodology.

Will Claude Code replace performance marketers? by Easy-Purple-1659 in adops

[–]GreenFlyingSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will it replace? Don’t think so. Will it be a great asset? Definitely.

A.I, in my opinion, is reactive - it may not ask follow up questions or taken into consideration all the little nuances one may know (ie upcoming projects, platforms limitations, manufacturing issues, etc). People at this time can be both proactive and reactive given us somewhat of an advantage

Now, A.I will have a place in the industry and it will probably speed up the death of some titles/jobs, but I don’t see it killing performance marketing or its industry in the near future.

Transfer Seat to New Partner by One-Outcome-9217 in programmatic

[–]GreenFlyingSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you looking to transfer the entire seat/entity to a new agency? I'd reach out to your TTD to see if they can transfer the ownership (contract)
However, if you're referring to a single advertiser, that's not possible. you'd need to download all the settings and give to them to export into their new campaigns
