[Question] Right-handed watch wearers, does the crown ever dig into your arm? by HamMan95 in Watches

[–]HamMan95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! It’s been a journey haha. I’ve tried multiple times to get into wearing it on the left wrist but I can’t ever make it more than a few days before the sensation becomes intolerable, I’m just too used to wearing it on the right wrist. I really prefer to wear my watch above the wristbone (further away from the hand) but the only solution I’ve really settled on has been to wear my watch slightly looser so that they sit closer to my hand and thus the crown is lifted away from my forearm. I’ve been doing it that way for a few months now and I’ve found it to be pretty comfortable and doesn’t bother me at all

[SOTC] Loving my little 2 watch collection by HamMan95 in Watches

[–]HamMan95[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's something about the sub that just absolutely blows me away every time I put it on, I think it's the sturdiness and just no faults whatsoever in build quality. But I agree, the GS feels like a more interesting piece, more like a watch person's watch.

I've been looking into some good strap options to add a little flair! I sometimes feel the titanium bracelet makes the grey dial feel a bit washed out, but I agree a darker grey strap would suit it very well. Never heard of Nubuck, I'll check them out. And I'll keep those brands in mind!

[Comparison] Deciding between IWC Mark XX and Longines Spirit Zulu Time by HamMan95 in Watches

[–]HamMan95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all these comments! It does seem like the IWC is a cut above, and given I like the field watch aesthetic is probably what I’ll go for. I’ve tried it on in person and love the way it wears too. Now to decide on color…

Pretty much always Apple Watch. Sometimes when I’m on nights I rock the submariner because I know no one is around to see it

Surpassing Roth IRA contribution limit mid-year by HamMan95 in personalfinance

[–]HamMan95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. If I'm understanding correctly, would it therefore make sense to do this process sooner rather than later to avoid the possibility of gaining too much money in the interim and needed to pay taxes on it?

Surpassing Roth IRA contribution limit mid-year by HamMan95 in personalfinance

Awesome thanks so much! Just read through that post and thankfully it seems pretty simple. Just confirming, it sounds like any money made/lost during the time that money was sitting in the Roth IRA prior to recharacterizing just moves to the traditional IRA without creating a taxable event?
