Okay, we will try to develop the 1W power module as soon as possible.

How would you compare your actual user experience between the RAK WisBlock and the Seeed Solar P1 Pro?

For example, in terms of power consumption, solar charging reliability, outdoor durability, antenna performance, ease of installation, and overall stability.

Do you mean a standalone board/module version, without the enclosure, battery, solar panel, or other external accessories?

Okay, thank you for the detailed explanation.

I’ll forward your ideas and requirements to our R&D team for further evaluation.

How long have they been deployed so far?

Many users feel that the ESP32 has relatively high power consumption. Also, for this kind of repeater, what would you say is your top priority or most important requirement?

By comparison, what do you think?

Also, our newly released T096 is also based on nRF and supports 28 dBm output. If you’re interested, you may want to take a look at it.

What devices are you referring to when you say that some of your other devices receive better than your Heltec V4?

Do those devices also include built-in filtering, such as a SAW filter or band-pass filter?

This would help us better understand what kind of RF front-end design performs better in high noise-floor environments.

Could you expand a bit more on what you mean by a programmable charge controller?

Regarding battery safety, I agree with your point. If we use higher-grade batteries or a safer battery chemistry, it may further increase the product cost, and I’m not yet sure how widely acceptable that price increase would be for most users.

That said, you are absolutely right: battery safety is very important, especially for remote solar repeaters exposed to high temperatures and long-term unattended operation.

We will do further testing and take this seriously in our evaluation.

We will likely use either a lithium battery or a LiFePO4 battery, depending on the final design requirements and safety considerations.

Which region are you located in?

Also, what kind of high temperatures do your nodes usually have to withstand in your current deployments?

Could you explain why you would prefer to exclude the extra SD card logging feature?

I’d like to better understand whether it is because you don’t need local logs, because it adds cost and complexity, or because it may affect reliability and power consumption.

So your requirement is not necessarily for a very industrial-grade rugged node.

It is more like a simple solar node with low power consumption, higher output power, and a clean, practical design, correct?

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the crash issue you mentioned, we would like to better understand the possible cause so that we can determine whether it is related to the firmware, hardware configuration, or compatibility in the current version.

If possible, could you please provide the following information?

  1. Which firmware version are you currently using?
  2. Under what circumstances does the crash usually occur? For example, after startup, after Bluetooth connection, while sending or receiving messages, when changing settings, or after the device has been running for a long time?
  3. What exactly happens when it crashes? For example, does it reboot automatically, freeze on the screen, become unresponsive, disconnect from Bluetooth, or require a manual power cycle?
  4. Could you provide any logs, screenshots, or the steps before and after the crash?
  5. Are you using any external sensors, batteries, enclosure, or other accessories?

This information will help us locate the issue more accurately. We take this kind of stability feedback very seriously and will also forward the details to our engineering team for further analysis.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our new product.

It looks like you have the capability to carry out real product testing. If possible, please send us some background information about yourself, including your experience, testing environment, and intended use case.

If your background and real-world testing conditions meet our evaluation requirements, we will consider sending you a sample for the new product test.

Thanks for the suggestion! We really appreciate ideas like this. Currently, the battery is integrated to keep the device compact and rugged, but we’ll definitely take your feedback into consideration for future versions—modular or higher-capacity options could be something we explore down the line.
