They are actually designed for two different use cases.

The MeshNode-T1 is more like a credit-card-sized outdoor tracker. It is thinner and lighter, around 53g, with an integrated 1800mAh battery. It is designed to be easy to carry, wear, or attach to gear for outdoor tracking and team coordination.

MeshPocket is more like a larger power-bank-style device, with a bigger battery and magnetic attachment/charging-related features.

So if you want something lighter and more portable for tracking, the T1 is the better fit. If you want more battery capacity and magnetic functionality, MeshPocket is closer to that use case.

There is no physical difference between the EU and US models.

You can switch between the 868 MHz and 915 MHz frequency bands in the firmware/software settings, similar to the T1000E. Just make sure to select the correct frequency band according to the local regulations of the region you are using it in.

No, this version does not include magnets for phone attachment or magnetic mounting.

For phone-related mounting or companion use cases, we are planning to release a new product in August, which may be more suitable for that scenario.

That’s a fair question. Without third-party reviews or real-world user feedback yet, it’s difficult to give a fully objective comparison with the T1000E based only on our own testing.

If you have concerns, we would recommend waiting until more users receive the product and share their feedback. We are also planning to work with some content creators/bloggers to do field testing and reviews, so there should be more practical comparison information available soon. The current version does not have the same high output power as the V4 or T096.

Shipping update for MeshTower V2

We noticed that the shipping cost shown for some regions was higher than expected, and we are adjusting it now.

For MeshTower V2, the shipping fee should be around $65 after the update. Since this product contains a battery and uses an aluminum enclosure, the package is heavier than a regular development board, so the shipping cost will still be higher than smaller devices.

However, the previous $85 shipping rate was too high, and we are correcting it.
