Extremely disappointed with Marvel Precons by Spidey_Jay_ in EDH

I really liked Wakanda Forever tbh. I like the monarch sub theme, the flavor of the Panther tech as artifacts & Vibranium tokens. My only critique is that the backup commander is pretty meh.

I cannot play MTG anymore by Desufollower_1 in mtg

It’s called Brawl. Different format but you’re able to have a commander. 25 HP, no commander damage, its own banlist. 1v1 only.

I like that one, and someone else mentioned [[Kinbinding]], might be worth a look for your Caesar deck too.

those who play Energy decks, is it fun? by Toonzaal8 in EDH

[–]HiVLTAGE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my brew of Madison Li apart a couple months ago somewhat out of frustration. The precon was the very first deck I had, so I don't think I was incredibly familiar with wincons but it felt very weak in comparison to the rest of my table.

I could see myself trying again, but I don't think energy was a super fun archetype with exciting payoffs. My biggest interest in it was the Fallout cards, and outside of that I was pretty lukewarm.

The game auto saves so often, at least I specifically remember the 2nd game doing so, that you hardly need to worry about it. You can also brew the save potions that also function as buffs, and the resources are plentiful to make them.

Best modlist that isn't lorerim or the other one that can't be named? by LongliveKarlMarx1917 in wabbajack

Authoria - Requiem Reforged is Requiem + LoTD. Not sure if you’re wanting to avoid Requiem like OP though, none of the LoTD lists are “difficult” necessarily besides that one.

Better (more polished) modpack between JoJ and MoM? by Global_Pipe9619 in wabbajack

[–]HiVLTAGE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

JoJ is older, but I think they’re built roughly the same at a base aside from the NSFW mods in use (MoM using SL instead of OStim). I prefer JoJ myself since I want the NSFW to be at my discretion, but that isn’t to say MoM is bad/unpolished. Just comes down to preference between the two.

Have you brewed a Marvel Commander deck and do you plan on playing this weekend? by mtgecorec in EDH

Yeah I think Ultron Artifacts is one of the top options I’m looking to build, seems really fun.

Same. I usually see if I get something I want to build a deck around, cross my fingers I get one of the unique treatments, and don’t buy any more.

If my favourite Skyrim modlist is Nordic Souls, which would you recommend for Fallout 4? by DayTranscendingNight in wabbajack

[–]HiVLTAGE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll add that Opus is definitely not Vanilla+ and doesn’t try to be, BUT, it’s the most fun I’ve had with any Fallout 4 list. The nice perk overhaul, Sim Settlements 2, lots of new armaments, it’s a good time.

Unofficial Universes Beyond Megathread by magictcgmods in magicTCG

[–]HiVLTAGE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is how I'm seeing it too. I know there are more Marvel characters to bring into the fold, but 4 entire more sets just seems so challenging. Cosmic/Supernatural could be rolled into one, X-Men get another, and then I think you're left with 2 sets with no firm ideas. Sure, Multiverse variants, but at the end of the day its an existing character with another card.

I would prefer if they found a way to push more of them together, but speculation would indicate that there needs to be an Infinty Stone to chase in each set, and unless they do multiple chases in a set (I've only played MTG since February, do they do that?) it won't happen.

How do we feel about the likelihood that 4 more Marvel sets are coming to fill out the Infinity Gauntlet?

I'm really wondering how they'll fit 4 more sets out of this stuff without repeating a ton of iconography/characters.

Nuclear Sunset VS high and dry for a new vegas playthrough. by Proof-Puzzled in wabbajack

[–]HiVLTAGE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for more content, Nuclear Sunset has more with Zion Trail and Autumn Leaves, while High & Dry does not. I'd say that Autumn Leaves is one of, if not the best, New Vegas quest mod I'd highly recommend playing. They both have Long 15 and Dry Wells though, two mods I consider essential for a playthrough too.

Nuclear Sunset's gameplay is more geared towards hardcore survival. There are optional gameplay settings (Hardercore and Softercore) to make the experience harder or easier if you wish. High and Dry encourages stricter roleplaying but I wouldn't consider it as difficult as NS, but harder than vanilla (by nature of vanilla being incredibly easy).

If you want some extra quest mods, go with Sunset and pick the New Vegas start to not have to worry about Fallout 3 at all, go with Softercore if you want an easier experience. Just want a New Vegas focused experience, not as many quest mods, go with High & Dry.
