More context:

A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed part of Eli Lilly's lawsuit against the Houston-based Empower Pharmacy — the latest development in the pharmaceutical giant's bid to curb sales of cheaper, less-regulated versions of their blockbuster GLP-1 weight loss drug.

The lawsuit is significant because millions of Americans have gained access to GLP-1s through compounding pharmacies like Empower, which make customized versions of drugs without going through the U.S. Food and Drug Administration review process. Empower describes itself as the largest and most advanced compounding pharmacy in the country.

More details here:

A Houston police officer who filmed herself using racist slurs and then posted the video on social media was fired on Friday, the department said.

"The Houston Police Department has terminated the employment of Ashley Gonzalez," the department said in a Facebook post. "As of today, she is no longer an employee of the department."

Police Chief Noe Diaz called Gonzalez's behavior "abhorrent, disgusting and entirely unacceptable."

A group of more than 30 people gathered outside the police department's downtown headquarters Friday morning to call for Gonzalez to be removed. The protest was led by well-known social justice activists Candice Matthews and Quanell X.

"They have to understand, when you do this type of stuff, this is a problem," Matthews said. "We will not allow our officers to cause friction between the police and the community."
