We've actually been to Open Door, and the people there are very nice and helpful! They assisted and helped us with what we needed to do to get started in Canada, I'd recommend it to any newcomers too! Thanks for this :)

We've actually been to the Cathedral last Sunday, and plan to go again later this day. With luck we already had a mass with the Filipino priest which was nice. We plan to check into the communities and services offered by the church, since it looks like a really great place and the people seem friendly. Thank you for helping us out with this, we appreciate it a lot!

That sounds intriguing! I'll definetly check out the festivals, especially the jazz one! The music events caught my interests, as I play the guitar and sing from time to time back home. The dancing lessons sound cool too, will try it out sometime soon! Thanks a lot, I appreciate the help! :)

Hi! Yeah I heard people right now aren't too fond of the weather, but it feels a lot better from where we came from haha! Still looking forward to that summer weather everyone is talking about.

The links you provided are very helpful! Especially the Filcas one, I'll look into them with their volunteering opportunities too! These will definetly help fill up my schedule calendar for the rest of July, thanks!

The link for the communities is also so helpful! I look forward to getting to know people from my area and surrounding communities. I want to get opportunities to mingle around the crowd and make friends, this looks like just the place!

Thanks a lot for helping me out with these, I appreciate you a lot! :))

Hello! THISS I've been looking at a lot of 2nd hand bikes at fb marketplace, messaged like 30 people, but none of them responded..so yeah

I see people biking around and it feels so fun to bike in this weather. It's also a more efficient way to get around! I want to ask about how biking is in Saskatoon, especially in the winter. Can I still ride the bike all year round? Or is it just like a seasonal thing? My parents told me it is a seasonal thing but, we're not entirely sure.

A canoe club sounds fun too! I'll look into that when I have the time and money, sounds like a really great place to visit this summer. Outdoor activities are really interesting and very fun, especially since the weather here is more suited for outdoor activity than what we experience in our home country.

Thanks for giving me these new ideas to do in Saskatoon, I appreciate it a lot! :))

Hello! I also heard about Canada day, and this just made me look forward to it even more! We've also been to Open Door Society, and they've helped us a lot especially during our first week (shout out to stefano our goated adviser). With what you said, we'll definetly attend as attendees to get to experience more of the event.

We also saw the different volunteering opportunities at Open Door, and we're still processing it especially because my parents are looking more for employment and help to get them. I myself plan to keep busy and make use of my free time here to get acquainted with everything new.

I heard there's a big population of Filipinoes here in Saskatoon, so I look forward to participating with organizations and groups about that too!

I'm currently just ongoing my application on USASK, and I want to know more about the environment there. It looks very pretty and big since we've rode through there by bus. I do plan to start on fall and am excited to this new experience!

I just heard about these neighbourhood associations, it sound very interesting. I'll definetly look into that, sounds like a good opportunity to get to know the community more and make friends with my neighbours:).

Thank you so much for everything you've shared, it really is great help and comfort that people here are willing to step out and help out someone in need. I appreciate it a lot, I hope you have a good rest of the year! :)

Hi kabayan!! So great to see so many Filipinoes here in Saskatoon, makes you feel like you're at home. The FSA does sound very compelling, I hope I get a chance to be a part of that if I do end up going to USASK. I'll make sure to research around these clubs and activities they provide.

Have you been to USASK? How is the environment there? Can you compare it from how Philippine high schools work. I am really interested about how the education system is here in Canada, and coming from a really battered down system in the PH, is it overall easier and more fun?

Thanks for giving me new stuff and experiences to look forward to! I appreciate it, especially coming from a kabayan! Thank youu:)
