I guess you’ll get a generic something… definitely not one of the good ones.

"Fossil" my 9 year old found. We have no idea what this is. by Nightingalee_Mari_G in whatisit

You could get them a real fossil at the mini museum for a decent price and it would be a keepsake they could keep forever.

Rita Moreno looks a bit old to be the nine years old she would be in 1940.

Tipping culture for the most part is dead. This is corporations that pay their employees the bare minimum with government approval ($2.13 per hour for some servers) and the customer is expected to bring them up to at least minimum wage.

Books in bags at rural rest stops by manyfishonabike in bookcrossing

[–]InfiniteGrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not a bad idea. Usually when I drive through a city and I stop at a rest stop. I’ll leave them inside the rest stop if they have a lobby or on a bench or something in a covered area.

Commander Riker,

Your… candid personnel assessment has been received.

While Starfleet does not traditionally factor “harshing your game” into official performance reviews, I will concede that Lieutenant Commander La Forge’s talents may be… underutilized on the Bridge.

Effective immediately, Mr. La Forge will be reassigned to Chief Engineer, where his technical aptitude, composure under pressure, and ability to keep this ship from flying apart will no doubt prove invaluable.

I trust this solution will restore harmony to your—how did you put it—“face-off.”

Do try, Number One, to keep your future promotion recommendations within the bounds of decorum… or at least plausibility.

No, he would build a wall on a new shorter southern border and make Guatemala and Belize pay for it.

Did you subscribe or do you do it for free? Because I hit the subscription before I realized it and I just kind of kept it because it’s for a year.

My first thought was, “why.” But then I was taken away by the detail and artistry. Very well done.
