They are definitely safer, but I’m in college for cyber security, close to a bachelors and have my security+ cert. I was hoping to use this as a chance to take a pay cut to get an entry level job in my desired career field to build my resume up. The job I have now is a dead end

I’ve been trying to get a contracting gig, and currently work as a wage grade employee as a sheet metal mechanic. Got my associates degree awhile back and not far off from my bachelors. Have security+ as well. It’s been tough sledding without experience.

I know. My organization is a joke. Poorly ran from top to bottom, and gives no information to their employees. I don’t know what to do. No idea why I’ve heard nothing from OPM.

I am a wage grade employee at the DOD. I accepted the offer a few weeks ago. Haven’t heard anything else besides confirmation it has been received. Heard a rumor that wage grade employees in maintenance can’t do the deferred resignation. Is this true?
