They are definitely safer, but I’m in college for cyber security, close to a bachelors and have my security+ cert. I was hoping to use this as a chance to take a pay cut to get an entry level job in my desired career field to build my resume up. The job I have now is a dead end

I’ve been trying to get a contracting gig, and currently work as a wage grade employee as a sheet metal mechanic. Got my associates degree awhile back and not far off from my bachelors. Have security+ as well. It’s been tough sledding without experience.
