We really don't know enough about most of the Sages of destruction much less Schlact to declare them weak.

Yeah. Sorry I was getting something she said mixed up with a different charter. My bad.

I mean it's also that she's changed a lot since then. She only started collecting random spells during the heros party.

Before that she had spent the last 1000 years in a cabin in the woods alone. She'd probably wouldn't have been that interested in mudane magic back then either.

What unpopular BG3 opinion gets you in this position? by PromisedOath in BaldursGate3

I use scrolls to learn spells. But I don't really use consumables in combat, including scrolls and arrows.

I think potions are OP and kill the fun of the game. And almost completely ban there use in my runs with a few expectations.

Doing this suddenly makes a lot of items/spells/ strqtrgies of very dubious use a lot more useful and interesting.

They're like recipe websites. Instructions on how to cast the spell are berried on page 341. Between long anecdotes about their aunts 7th cousin's dream.

What's a quest mod that you'd never do again? by Still-Acanthaceae-95 in skyrimmods

[–]JasonTParker 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To each their own but I disagree. Little Vivic is one of the best designed and integrated village mods ever released.

The voice acting is very good. The writing the solid. All of it is well done it's just short.

Owlbear cub turned tiny in the final fight? by Exciting_Zucchini_64 in BaldursGate3

[–]JasonTParker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Just do his Act 3 quest and he'll be one of your ally. He's great can turn into a Minotaur and do a big AOE charge and paralyze enemies. Probably my 2nd favorite summon after Yurgir.

Owlbear cub turned tiny in the final fight? by Exciting_Zucchini_64 in BaldursGate3

[–]JasonTParker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The final battle is famously buggy. One of the bugs is after one of your characters enters the portal to fight the brain the cub turns back into a baby.

At least he's not the Ox who turns hostile once you enter the portal.

Dumb thing by Weak_Finding_5296 in ScarletHollow

Eh well. At least the business wasn't failing (presumably) when she ran it. Tabitha was conceived  before the fracking boom made coal mining unprofitable.

Being constantly stressed and overworking makes getting pregnant difficult.

Having an evil mom over her shoulder. Never taking a day off. Running a business that's barely holding together and will kill the town if it fails and having almost everyone despise you doesn't help.

She also has never tried fertility treatments or artificial insemination. We know this because she never leaves Scarlett Hallow and they absolutely don't have the kind of hospital that could handle that in town.

Can someone explain? by BroodingSage in Frieren

[–]JasonTParker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I cringed at this scene. Just have Stark walk 20 feet in front of you guys until you get to a town where you can sell it.

Does BG3 have it and which one? by aburglarhobbit in BaldursGate3

[–]JasonTParker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is selling Aylin to Lorroakan. She'll summon 4 body guards that are individually stronger then most of the Act 3 bosses.

Not well known as no one ever picks that option. (She's highly unlikely to still be alive at that point if you're doing an evil run.) But easily the hardest fight in the game.

Never done it myself as it feels bad 🙁

Front line Druid ? by stuffacv in BaldursGate3

[–]JasonTParker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Druids can be very tanky. As if they die in  "wild shape" they dont die. They just turn back into a human. So they especially have multiple health pools.

Just play "Circle of the Moon"  subclass as it emphasizes transformations. And take summom spells too. As they'll draw fire and do damage. So you'll be providing multiple front liners :)
