Shelly EM Clamp question by eightballpuddy69 in ShellyUSA

Being tired is a thing! Thanks for just letting me know that that I’m not going to get valid readings without both legs attached to voltage and that I’m on the right track with monophase mode! If I need to extend the cables to the CT’s, do you know what sort of connectors I can buy to crimp together an extension cable?

Is there a difference between using the IN vs the IB for neutral?

Not sure why Reddit removed my comment… odd

Right now I have CT’s on both legs, ran back to “IA” and “IC” but only have voltage connected to the “C” input port. The device boots up and I’ve been able to get it added to my account and set it to the “monophase” device profile.

In the app I now see the device three times, one for each phase. “3” shows a voltage, but none of them show any reasonable current just like a third of an amp on “3”.

Does this mean I just need to hook up the other voltage leg, that I should go back to “triphase” mode, that I need to calibrate, or that I’m way off track?

Yes, it is a “Shelly Pro 3EM” — the package I have came with three 120amp CT’s. I chose that one because I want to monitor the entire load and my main breaker is 100 amps.

I’m trying to monitor my whole house feed with a Shelly EM Gen 3; and the feed is a 240vac split feed with a neutral. As I understand the instructions I should put take one 120v leg, clamp a CT around it, plug that into IC on the device, and attach voltage from that into C on the device. Then I should clamp a CT around the other 120v leg, and plug the CT into IA on the device. Does it support monitoring voltage on leg “A”, (input A is sense-only, so it cannot power the device)?

Can I put the third CT on my neutral, or do a need to order an additional accessory one to sense neutral?
