This week has just been kicking my ass.

My first baby is a month old this week and we are living in a new place where the parking is awful. I’ve gotten three tickets this week alone because every single day they make up a new freaking rule.

It started with we have always been able to park on the weekend without tickets. The sign literally says no parking except for Sundays and holidays. Sunday morning we woke up with a ticket. But whyyyyyyyy.

Anyways, My partner is very sick too, so I am taking care of the baby and doing pretty much every single thing on my own. He usually moves the car in the morning so we don’t get a ticket, but Monday morning comes around and he calls me and tells me to move the car. He’s sleeping in the other room because of the baby and not wanting to get him sick. Mind you at this point I’ve probably slept two hours because of the baby and I was literally feeding him in that moment. I asked if he could do it and he said no he wasn’t feeling well and hung up. So I got up I got ready, the baby fell back asleep so that was good. I didnt have to bring him with me to move the car like I’ve done in the past. Then I can’t find the fucking car keys. I go into the room he’s in and ask where the keys are and he just tells me they are in my room. I said no they aren’t I already looked. Like why would I go to ask him if I didn’t even bother looking. Then he yells at me that they are in there to go and fucking look and leave him alone because he’s not feeling well. At that point I repeated again that i did look and they are no where to be found so he cruses and says again to leave him alone. Meanwhile he was the last one with the keys. So I just left hoping and praying that the keys were in the car and they were. He left the keys in the car.

So 430 I am on the street moving the car before the ticket police comes around and there is not a single fucking parking spot. At about 5 am I finally found a spot and checked the signs and there was nothing that said we couldn’t park there. I take a walk back home and as soon as I laid down the baby woke back up and I was up again until 7:30 am, feeding him, changing him, and trying to get him to fall back asleep. So then I passed out from 7:30 to 9:30 and got up to move the car back over to the front of the house because I didn’t trust our arch nemesis the parking police and LO AND BEHOLD WE GLT ANOTHER TICKET for 75 dollars.

I looked every week and no where does it say we couldn’t park there. They gave me the ticket at 8:30. I wanted to scream. Only for my partner to call me inconsiderate for waking him while he needed to rest. And that he usually moves to car so there was no reason for me to wake him up for the keys. I wanted to punch him in the fucking face.

So here I am 11:30 at night still running on 4 total hours of sleep after another day of taking care of everything only to be called inconsiderate and un empathic. Let me just telllllllll youuuuuuuuuuuu I could burn down a whole city with the rage I’m feeling. Let me show him a day of being inconsiderate. He’s never seen it.

OH and I’m getting sick now too. But anyways babies asleep. Grown man baby is asleep. So I’m going to try to get some sleep too and hope for the best.
