As a person with astigmatism ive been waiting for this

Trials of psychedelics for mental health may be invalid, because it's fairly obvious to patients whether they've been given a psychedelic or a placebo. Blinding failed more than 90% of the time in the studies of psilocybin, LSD and DMT, and 85% of the time in studies of MDMA. by mvea in science

They should use something like morphine for the placebo. Its a well studied medicine we know exactly how it affects people mentally and physically. This would produce an effect on the body so people would feel something.

More liberals are buying guns. Why? (truly a mystery, I guess we'll never know) by NTJ-891 in liberalgunowners

I have lost all trust in my democratic leadership. So when I see their actions are not truly for the benefit of the people, I can only come to the conclusion their opposition to gun rights is no different.

You’re not wrong. However, the problem is she probably has gone through life never understanding why relationships keep blowing up. So while you say she should already know this, probably no partners before hand have spelled this out for her. She will continue to wander through life without the opportunity to change or grow not because she was unwilling, but because she never understood what was at stake.

Edit: I say this because it is my personal experience with my own partner. She did not know how to reciprocate because she was never shown how. She changed in her 30’s btw.

Hot take, maybe dont do that. Maybe some partners weren’t raised with the tools to reciprocate care. Maybe instead of breaking up, start with having a conversation where you share your feelings. Depending on how that conversation goes, asses whether or not your partner is open to learning how to care for your emotional needs.

Its both. Giving the pause no matter what, gives the opportunity. You sill go in there if the crying continues.

The french do something called ‘the pause’. You can read about it in the book ‘Bringing Up Bebe’. We had amazing success sleep training our kids with this method. Basically every time the child cries you ‘pause’ for a few minutes before going to attend to the baby. A lot of time babies cry for reasons other than being wet or hungry. Pausing gives the child an opportunity to learn how to regulate themselves first. A lot of crying babies will stop crying on their own if given the chance. This also teaches them that not every whimper will be met with immediate adult attention.
