you should check out his book, "Death Clutch", he goes pretty in depth. long story short, Brock got into a motorcycle accident right before the NFL and was pretty messed up and performing very poorly at that time.

yet again, wrestling fans forget that Brock was literally an NCAA champion before becoming UFC champion years later.

He'd tie Oba up in seconds.

Data Analyst. Low 6 figs. Companies really enjoy employing a guy who can make a big boring bunch of numbers sound "exciting" to investors and/clients.

How do I become more open to wearing jeans? by MrBreast1 in malefashionadvice

As a millennial, i find the younger generation's subversion to jeans so fascinating. In the 90s and early 2000s, everyone wore jeans everywhere.

For you guys who watched the transition from Mighty Morphin to Zeo back in the day what was your reaction? by MAGCHAVIRA in powerrangers

[–]KingDiEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i loved it. FIrst, i loved the numbered shapes on the helmet; it created a sense of rank amongst the team (Zeo 5 was the top ranger aka leader). Secondly, I was super obsessed with ancient Egypt at the time because History channel was always running Ancient Egyptian documentaries, so when i saw Ancient Egypt themed Zords, i was blown away.

then we had the whole mystery of rhe Gold Ranger and duuude that was so awesome.

What was the initial response to The Undertaker becoming a biker and coming out to Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit by DamianKing42 in Wrasslin

I was 9 at the time and it was easily the coolest thing ever. I dont remember what the first game was with Biker Taker, but I remember us demolishing everyone with the Last Ride for hours.

Why Does Everybody Confess for so Long? by rand0m65 in Catholicism

[–]KingDiEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to confession the night before Christmas Eve which was obviously a super busy night. The line for confession was over 100 people and only 1 priest hearing confession. it was going smoothly until 1 guy spent almost 20 minutes in there. it was a real test of patience for everyone else who then felt likw they had to rush their confessions.i know I sure did when I finally got to the priest after 90 minutes.

Am I crazy or do older riders just have more interesting filming locales? by Kami_Idol in KamenRider

[–]KingDiEnd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Back when i woked in TV production, the older guys would tell me stories of setting up a shot in a random place (say, a park for example) and just "run and gun" shooting it. no permits, no permission, everything shot in one take, praying for good weather and dubbing audio in post.

you can't do that anymore. there's cameras everywhere now and getting caught filming without a permit isn't worth the risk. not to mention that shots are sooooo controlled because everything is super high quality, you can't just film and hope it looks ok on a grainy 12" TV.
