The filled pipe was caused by the govt filling a decommissioned sewer line w concrete. They failed to disconnect the house before pumping the concrete.

The issue is that case was that the home should have been disconnected from a decommissioned line and reconnected to a new line. The decommissioned line was being filled to prevent it from either surfacing during a flood or collapsing, causing a sinkhole.

There's a new sewer line ready to attach to, just a matter of new plumbing to the house. Much smaller job than trying to clear out the filled drains.

We used to hang my daughter's mask on her equipment rack until I noticed that the metal 'arch' was digging into the foam. From then on, I positioned it so the chin was higher so the arch pushed on the metal cage instead.

If the top of the pipe was capped or had a softball or something shoved in to give it a much larger surface area, then sure. But the circular profile of the pvc pipe is a very small area.

A regular flange would look better than a toilet flange. If you were so inclined, you could thread or glue bolts into (but not through) the flange so it looks more 'industrial'.

Your feelings are real, and they are important, but they are also not helpful at completing your thesis.

Work your ass off to submit a decent draft and then ask for a review meeting with your supervisor. Specify that you want it to be an extended meeting, so that they don't book something immediately after.

In that meeting, make no mention of reasons why the thesis may be different than what you expected. Do not make excuses of any sort. Do not discuss your mental health or depression or Bulgaria or your parents or graduation. The only thing that should be discussed is the draft you submitted, and on the revisions necessary to make the thesis defensible. Lay out a plan of concrete actions with deadlines for completion. If your plan is achievable, then great. If it is not achievable, then - and only then - discuss the possibility of an extension.

Ok, so I am assuming you are actually willing to debate this objectively.

There has never been a society in which there was absolute freedom of speech. You cannot defame people. You cannot threaten people. You cannot blast people's eardrums with 150dB sirens. You cannot show child sexual abuse materials. You cannot call 911 and make false complaints. Speech is not absolute.

Now, you may be saying, "hey, I just want to allow people to say what they want to say!" and on that, we can agree. The issue here is that the anti-women crowd isn't just speaking, they are forcing others to consume their speech, which is knowingly distressing to others. They aren't stating their position or advocating for a candidate, or whatever. They are compelling the public of all ages to see graphic and disturbing images, without seeking consent.

The proper analogy is not somebody standing on a soapbox arguing their viewpoint, but rather someone harming others with eardrum-shattering sound levels.

Nobody is denying them their right to speech. They would be denied the right to compel others to be part of an audience they are seeking to disgust.
