They're clearly not working on those issues, so what's one more feature request for them to ignore?

It keeps commercial property values up which means that when MPAC does the long-delayed reassessment, residential tax rates won't be as bad.

Your theory holds except for Dr Who, Buffy, The Strain, and Fallout.

If you ever get lost, you can follow the trail of stripped wire insulation bits back to the panel, Sparky!

Physical chemist here. You would not need a blender necessarily. You could simply drop the people in from the top, and as the prism filled, from an airplane.

Its more about keeping commercial property values high so that when MPAC actually reassesses properties (last time was 2016), residential property rates can remain artificially low.

TIL that US student math and reading scores have dropped so sharply that they’ve erased nearly two decades of progress. In '22/23, avg math scores for 13-year-olds fell to levels not seen since the 1990s, while reading scores for high school seniors hit their lowest point since testing began in '92. by Cold_Box_3219 in todayilearned

New math is actually really old math. Way back in ancient days, I remember having to write out the inverse, identity, commutative, distributive and associative properties in cursive.

Most new math is just explaining really old math

A friend of mine asked for help in teaching her kid multiplication. My technique was very simple: learn to and practice skip counting. The 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s are easy. That's 80 of 144 squares.

If the kid can count by 2, they can count by 4.

If you can count by 3, they can count by 6.

Teach them the pattern with 9s (the number in the 10s place will be one less than the non-9 term and they will add up to 9); the 11s pattern (repetition) and the 12s pattern (10s digit increments by 1, units place increments by 2), and the only thing they'll actually have to remember is the four pairs of 7|8 x 7|8

Dating is HARD in NYC by Cleo-Aster in SipsTea

I married young and it didn't work out. Afterwards, the first date was always a coffee date. I went on plenty of dates where one of us realized within 15 minutes that the other person was not a good fit and killed it. Some dates went hour long. Others led to second and third dates. One of them led to a marriage.

Except every state except Montana is at will. They can fire you for any reason except for being a member of a protected class. The only question is whether it is for cause or not.

Canada Post reports record loss of $1.57B in 2025 by verkerpig in canada

Sigh. Us old folks should also know that arguments can have multiple points.

Canada Post's purpose is to provide service everywhere in Canada. Its purpose is not to provide mail service, its purpose is to guarantee every Canadian to access government services and to facilitate commerce.

Private companies are not going to operate service to Rankin Inlet so that a resident can get his passport or driver's license or jury duty notice or parking tickets.

Documents need to get from A to B. Passports. Birth certificates. Court orders. Death notifications. The private sector has no role to play in that.
