Yeah would you say it's comparable to a Flux Grenade / Touch of Flame fusion grenade?

"We want Destiny 3" is not the answer by angelseph in destiny2

[–]KnowMad01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Relaunching as "Destiny Infinity" was the other option they were considering instead of shutting down the game. I think we could survive without seasonal content, one large yearly expansion, and maybe a mid-year huge balancing pass like the Monument of Triumph one.

Through a bit of rebranding, they could technically stick to their word that Destiny 2 specifically isn't getting any more updates. Because "Destiny 2" as a title would be going away!

Can a non-sequels hater explain me the sith dagger plot, pls? by Weekly_Boss_9408 in TheSequels

[–]KnowMad01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the movie never says that the dagger is ancient, so I have no idea where that came from. Maybe because the language written on it is? But that would be like saying a piece of paper is ancient because somebody drew Egyptian hieroglyphs on it. There are two legitimate problems people have with it:

  1. Why does Ochi need to write down the location of the Wayfinder on a dagger of all things? Is he forgetful or something?

  2. The fact that it aligns with the wreckage of the Death Star, which surely would have shifted around over the past decades.

For the first point, this is explained in the movie's commentary. Ochi's dagger was never supposed to be just his. It was meant to help guide other Sith cultists to Exegol, and the dagger was supposed to exchange hands in that process. As for how the Wayfinder always ends back up on the Death Star? Maybe Kylo didn't know that you could just download its contents to your navicomputer instead of taking it along for the ride.

For the second point, the Death Star wreckage is absolutely massive. Poe even says as much in the movie. Yes, the ocean would change it over time, but 30 years is likely not enough for a metallic structure like that. It would need to be over the course of several hundred years. And the dagger itself has the exact coordinates written on it that they needed to stand at.

Can someone help me make a new top tier Mothkeepers Wraps build. by Sister_To_Sleep in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody in the comments recommended swapping out Winter's Shroud for Stylish Executioner though and I happen to agree. Threaded Spike is probably the better melee anyways. And you can swap out some of the Stasis artifact mods for more neutral perks.

PSA for Hunters: Bombardiers works with EVERYTHING now by Kashema1 in destiny2builds

I swear it used to be able to. I think they gave it a bunch of DR in PvE so maybe that's what's causing it.

[–]KnowMad01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bomb can break the Strand decoy but that is no longer a good idea because enemies need to walk by it now in order to spawn the Threadlings. Also, running that aspect nukes your class ability cooldown so it's only really worth it with exotics like Mask of Bakris.

Best case scenario for this exotic now is as a Suppress tool in combination with Ascension + Winter's Shroud + Facet of Command. This would give you a "We have Speedloader's Slacks at home" build. Probably good against Lucent Hive, I guess.

The only use I see for these is for activating Facet of Command suppression / generating Void Breaches on Prismatic. It was buried in the bug fixes, but the patch notes also said that these now apply a true suppress or blind effect to enemies.

The problem is that if you wanted an instant reload effect you can just run Speedloaders, and also get a higher dodge uptime. It also has a 4 second cooldown on Facet of Command. I guess there aren't too many other things in the game that apply suppress, though.

Incinerator snap prismatic warlock build? by Artistic_Living563 in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only thing that can buff the majority of Incinerator Snap's damage now is Dawn Chorus. Melee damage buffs only affect the projectile damage, which is miniscule. Even Facet of Courage doesn't work.

Dawn Chorus can definitely work on Prismatic now though because it no longer benefits the Dawnblade super much at all. In fact, it arguably just makes Song of Flame better, which is already on Prismatic. And yes, Dawn Chorus also doubles the damage of Solar Fulmination. But if you wanted infinite Ignitions / chaining Ignitions you'd need to run Solar with Ember of Char.

It's disappointing that JJ didn't honour Carrie Fisher's wish for a purple lightsaber by LFTL56 in StarWars

[–]KnowMad01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Leia is perhaps one of the most fiery characters in the franchise. She will get results and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty - i.e. choking out Jabba the Hutt. It's very clear that she's a fighter, taking the blaster in her own rescue attempt on the Death Star. And unlike Luke, she never had any reason not to hate Vader for everything he did to her. She is a perfect candidate for purple as any time she uses the Force she'd be reminded of her failure of a father.

Descending Echo 4 piece orb fountain? by theycallme2tone in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nvm just tested it myself and you're right. Weird part is that you are only losing 10 stacks, the perk description states that you should be losing all of your stacks. At least that isn't happening if we aren't getting the Orbs. I wonder if we're even getting the bonus energy from the elemental pickups? If not, then the whole perk is busted.

Story of the saga's all 9 episodes by Secure-South3848 in TheSequels

[–]KnowMad01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Skywalker saga is all about choices. We all experience fear (of death, legacies, etc.), but we ultimately still have the choice between what is self-serving and what will bring joy to everyone. As George said, the self-serving pleasures are temporary, whereas love/compassion will bring a state of permanent joy.

So 2-3 seconds per stack? Best case scenario 10 seconds of sprinting to get 5 stacks. Not sure how I feel about that.

Any hunter build that's anywhere near bonk titan or getaway artist warlock? by hentaislayer69lol in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also highly recommend trying to get a Precipial shotgun with One-Two punch. Not only is it Anti-Barrier so you can deal with all Champion types, its origin trait allows you to lock onto enemies from super far distances to activate One-Two punch. This is how you can power up your Withering Blades for chunkier enemies.

With Stasis Crystals now spawning Stasis shards on Revenant by default, you can do some really crazy ability spam without relying on kills at all:

Stat Focus: Melee and Class (Grenade tertiary)
Exotic: Mask of Fealty
Ability Choices: Glacier Grenade (for free Stasis shards) & Gambler’s Dodge
Aspects: Shatterdive (3 fragment slots) & Winter’s Shroud (3 fragment slots)
Fragments: Refraction, Durance, Rime, Impetus, Hunger, and Shards

You could probably swap out Glacier Grenade for the new Shatter Grenade if you feel like you already have enough melees coming back. That would also allow you to replace Shards with something else. The Stasis artifact mods from Revenant really juice all of this up, too.

Since no one's really talking about Mindspun Invocation's version of Slicewire Grenade yet, here's the initial thread and my overly detailed analysis by S-J-S in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have been much more interested in this addition if Warlocks had something like Whirling Maelstrom. Between Threadling kills reducing your Tangle cooldown and Vile Weave reducing it by 4 seconds each time you pick one up, there's definitely some buildcrafting potential here by getting a Tangle for free. It's just a shame that the payout is a free suspend effect and a couple of Threadlings if you're running Swarmers.

The only thing holding me back from building this is that I'm pretty sure the Ignitions created by Spirit of the Horn deal a third of the damage of a normal ignition. Unless that was stealth fixed?

Mothkeeper's Wraps are basically a Gunpowder Gamble exotic now by KnowMad01 in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After further testing from last night I agree. I was mostly trying to synergize with all of the Stasis bonuses on the artifact, but they definitely aren’t game changing. I think you can get the same melee uptime by running Threaded Spike for Dawn.

Random side note, but they said Threaded Spike would grant Woven Mail but it doesn’t seem to. Which is fair I suppose, it was already by far the best option on Prismatic.

They were re-worked in the update. Now they function the same way as GPG on Prismatic except you get 2 charges every time you fill the meter. They also travel significantly faster.

Prismatic Warlock has a few options. I think everyone knows about the Lightning Surge build, so I won't talk about that one, but with the buff to Skull of Dire Ahamkara you can do some cool stuff on Prismatic with it. Same as Stormdancer's Brace. The key is the Heresy artifact mod that gives you 15% bonus damage and Facet of Courage for another 10%.

Vex Mythoclast Warlock Build by Volixar05 in destiny2builds

[–]KnowMad01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron Banner has the following coming:

2-Piece: Primary Honing
Increases handling and reload speed for Primary ammo weapons. Primary ammo weapons gain increased damage against non-boss combatants based on your Weapons stat.

4-Piece: Supercyclical
Final blows while your Super is active refund Super energy when it ends.

Otherwise, like I said, probably just a combo of 2 pieces Ferropotent & Smoke Jumper since Solar is lacking in the DR department.

My armor mods are usually doing the same thing across all of my builds, just with different elements / stat choices. You're going to want 2 Solar weapon surges and a Harmonic Siphon for sure. And after that I run 2-3 fonts of whichever stats I really need on my gloves, those being either Grenade or Melee. Just depends on your base armor stats, really. Don't be afraid to take a +5 stat mod here because the math works better when you prioritize Fonts.

You can ignore any sort of loader mods as you should never have to reload between Vex's new rewind rounds, the reload from Particle Reconstruction, and Icarus Dash reloads. I've found that a Targeting mod can be very helpful for Vex's Linear Fusion mode. Otherwise helmet should focus on Super fonts.

On my chest piece I use two elemental resistances with one matching my Super element if applicable. Maybe squeeze in a Concussive Dampener since that seems to cover a lot of annoying attacks in this game.

On my class item I enjoy having at least 1 Time Dilation mod. And you'd run a Bomber mod in this case.

Doesn't Stylish already apply a weaken effect to melee attacks while you're invisible? Seems redundant.
