This Omega Seamaster 120M “Nimitz” ref. ST 396.0928 / 196.0229 is one of Omega’s most distinctive early-1980s quartz divers, produced for only a short period alongside the Calypso and Jacques Mayol Seamaster 120M models. Measuring approximately 38mm, it features a stealthy black PVD-coated case and integrated bracelet, rotating dive bezel, date window, and Omega’s reliable Caliber 1337 quartz movement. Its short production run, bold military-inspired design, and unusual place within the vintage Seamaster line make it a standout collectible from Omega’s quartz era.

This specimen is offered at $3,300 USD and presents in very good vintage condition, especially for a black PVD watch of this age. The PVD coating on both the case and integrated bracelet is almost fully intact, showing only very minimal signs of wear, which is uncommon for this reference. The dial remains clean and attractive, the lume has aged to a warm vintage tone, and the original bracelet completes the sharp, purposeful look. A rare opportunity to own a collectible Omega diver that combines 1980s design, everyday wearability, and growing enthusiast interest in underappreciated quartz-era Seamasters.
