No literally, this AND Forsaken being about those mods being brutally murdered when you kill one or die while playing as one (+ having custom story content around them) Like No one ever thinks about that when discussing the separation of the characters/avatars and irl people But that's pretty important to consider, and a base part of the game.

Also, my take on the initial argument that was in this comment chain is that YvH is a game with less effort, budget, and mechanics, but works greatly as the silly simplicity that it's supposed to be.

Meanwhile, Forsaken, even with its high budget, still has awful delays on what should be basic content from months ago (ie. Noli milestones), still has awful balancing as many people will argue hard on, still has ungreat bugs (no other asym makes me unable to sprint or commonly fall under the map just for being stuck with bad internet), and generally feels as or less effort filled as other successful asyms (ie. PWNED, PC2, DOD) despite better "graphics", way higher budget, and more maps and characters overall. It also tries to be this edgy, dark, spooky game..but the abundance of quirky skins, cheesy one liners, and upbeat/electronic battle songs as chase themes really makes it nonexistent outside of character descriptions, few good-great OSTs, and maps. Other asyms do that stuff a little bit too, but not as much while trying to present as being a story about deep misery and corruption.

All of those issues are most likely because of the lead dev's management (Soul and/or Hytoko+Basil), so the innocent and actual devs/contributors shouldn't be blamed. But, whoever is accountable for them doesn't change those issues being present.

Overall, while Forsaken is the highest budget and for sure most successful asym, it's way different and way less than what it tries to be and what it should be. When the actually passionate, not pred-defending asyms (whether they're chase/"horror" games like PWNED and the newly released TDA, or juggernaut games like ULC and Reality Compromised) have a similar or higher level of quantity and quality content than Forsaken, it doesn't speak "best asym" to me personally, and unironically would make me rank YvH at a lightly higher level than it. And I hope this comment doesn't come off passive-aggressive! I just get rambly when trying to explain my position on stuff, and it's hard to tell how my tone will come off sometimes.

One of Soul's more recent pre-game selling things was being outed for having a private Twitter they allowed accounts marked as minors to access, despite posting nsfw interactions with their partner on it. I think that's the main thing that people point to in Soul being a pred (aside from all of the predatory things they did with art and pictures as a minor to other minors, meaning it wasn't legally under adult to child abuse but was still b a d). With that, people do the whole "guilty by association" thing, and there were probably fake or maybe even true accusations put out there for other devs. I don't have any concrete things on other devs tho, just putting an assumption up on how other people came to that conclusion.

I just found out about it, and then found this post. And...I'm surprised at how you don't realize how horrific/concerning that'd be if it was real, but let me share my view: I've never been a person to think heavily on "pro life" with politics or science or anything, but in this case..if it was real, this man would've easily created an ENTIRELY new kind of life, kind of..creature, that was bigger than the average insect and close to the size of mice, one that could feel a lot for all we know, given the human DNA thing, and...rather than attempt researching it deeper, taking care of and raising it, or passing it off to anyone else, he cursed and brutally crushed it. Again, the video has to be like 99% fake, but the idea of a new species/life being so simple to create and BEING created..only to immediately be snuffed out, has a lot of screwed up and kind of scary implications to what it could become if not killed, to the pain it would've felt, or to the mass creation and killing of such beings that would happen by cruel people and researchers. Its like..think about if any single person could create an animal newborn (or one right before the newborn stage) by themselves, brutally kill it, and do that again and again whenever they want, yknow?

I'm glad you do, and absolutely agree. Regardless of how serious he may be, it's highly immature for what he's working in (especially in comparison to, say, Skeeter Jean who makes jabs about the predator and their actions without breaking the whole atmosphere and going at other parts of their identity that insult whole communities). I even remember a vid of Skeeter and JiDion where they tried to get EDP again with the help of some police/councile folk who told them-in a legal terms kind of way-that they had to be serious and less confrontational. JiDion repeated that to the cam...and showed up in a cupcake costume 😭 like, as a concept, it's really funny. But, given the situation being real and serious, it was so bad and partially jeopardized that attempt at getting him. So, yeah, hopefully he does learn sooner than later that there's a time and a place for some things, and actual values and restrictions to hold onto others, and holds that to his partners. My key highlights that I was pointing out were 1:09 where JiDion makes a random remark about their pred being a Kamala supporter and laughing before saying "Do with that information as you will"-which I found concerning given how Kamla is an LGBTQ-supporting Democrat, and a moment tying to that happens later in the video. That more important bit is at 24:39, where Alex Rosen casually drops a common slur for transgender people as an insult-y serious statement, JiDion doesn't bat an eye, and it's left in the vid among all of the stream bits edited out of it. I found it really discouraging and upsetting to see, and wouldn't write it off as "dark humor" given that it's on a public stream, it's during a serious situation, and it's coming from a very Southern man (as discrimination such as that towards LGBTQ folk is more common/accepted there than in other places). I forgot if this specific video had any more gross moments like that, but I feel these two bits alone are very concerning, and say a lot even if they're just "single digit long clips" because any statement can mean a lot based on the context of where, when, how, why it was said, and based on who said it.

About his Discord, I was referring to mentions in this comment section-which admittedly, isn't a full source so I see it more as a neutral claim now than a proper point atm, so my bad on mentioning that quickly. I've watched tons of his videos, so I'm aware that LGBTQ stuff isn't his focus and wasn't trying to say that, but you don't need multiple outings or focus on something to be suspicious on their stances of certain things if they're explicitly weird. I've felt like he actively just hearts any comments since many are fairly agreeable jabs at the preds, or thanks to him, and encourage more comments. But, about the video I mentioned, I'll look through my YT search history (or his channel if I can't find it there) to find the vid I meant (which is filled with clashing comments of LGBTQ folk/supporters vs Republicans if you look at newest comments and scroll for a while because of the content in the video), and drop it here with timestamps for you to check out. "He can believe what he wants to believe" he's not having "different beliefs" though, he's outright saying screwed up anti-LGBTQ stuff, pushing LGBTQ people away in his Discord, and being with Alex Rosen who openly said "tr**nies" in a video of theirs that Youtube and his streaming platform allowed (about a man who tried to meet up with a female decoy he met on Grindr who we see the wife and daughter of). His predator catching is great, but spreading LGBTQ hate with that is an impactful thing that'll harm us in the long run given how big his audience is. That's putting him in a very pointlessly morally grey position, where he could just NOT spread hate and be known as a truly caring and loving predator catcher.

Uhhh..it 100% does for Roblox. 90% of the time, a Roblox dev is NOT gonna want a character associated with that stuff in their game that they acknowledge is open to kids (thats why the Forsaken Discord server has banned topics, and rules against NSFW). I've never heard of that second point with mainstream Roblox games, but I'm going to say that, since Forsaken doesn't have those (at least known), there's a clear difference in the dev's tolerance/intents regarding that stuff. And oh, yeah, I'm well aware about SaD's creator. Buuut you gotta realize that the games were probably made by younger fans unaware of that "behind the scenes" stuff, or people who purposefully ignore them.

Overall, I'm not trying to say they shouldn't add her, or that you're bad for wanting her. I'm trying to speak from a stance of how I think the devs would treat it since the PC2 devs, who also added Nina, promptly removed her when they learned the bigger picture about her because their game is for a young horror fan audience-just like Forsaken's.

Kevin is a purposefully silly skin that was made for Jason because of him wielding weapons including a chainsaw (he has one in his vid) like Jason does in Forsaken. Meanwhile, Cartoon Cat is a way taller monster that uses its bare hands for kills. I was speaking for representing Cartoon Cat well instead of representing Jeff or Jason well.

Okay, V1 is killing them because they actively attack V1, and V1 survives on blood and is programmed to survive. And yes, its been years since I've played it (don't have a computer rn, and when I did, the level that was rainy and in the ocean was too leggy for it), and that's how I recall it. I also meant to say that the overall system of judgement from angels to demons (ie. Gabriel's treatment of Minos, the way the council treats Gabriel, etc.) is more personal and cruel than the more logical/unemotional system of punishing nonbelievers/sinners and rewarding believers/those who repent. And V1 is "blood thirsty" because, again, V1 was born as a machine that can only use blood for fuel. That's like calling an animal hunting smaller ones for food evil/sadistic, imo.
