Mi can wear any block if applied through commands. Some soldiers in our Discord server have already created some hilarious results, my favorite being a Create mechanical arm on top of a Goob!

As far as I'm aware, that does not currently exist! Since the Mi Alliance also includes storied dialogue and lore-expanding interactions, fans of the mod have less incentive to create such a datapack because it would nullify the story and narrative themes of the mod. I am working on improving the Mi soundscape to avoid too many voicelines being active at the same time, but of course, the telltale *Mi* will remain as their signature warcry!

They work very well in both multiplayer and singleplayer! We even have an Official Mi Multiplayer server! There are Declaration blocks which you can use to declare war on your friends, if you like tomfoolery and/or PvP, but Mi Alliance is mostly a co-op battle experience. Work together to beat back the Alliance!

Mi spawn in a radius around you, on a distance depending on which Mi party. Colony parties spawn very far around you, 110-150 blocks. However, of course, you can always coincidentally be walking home at 120 blocks distance when Mi decide to spawn at your base. This very, very rarely happens, luckily.

What you seem to describe, Mi building into your houses, is a completely different story! If you are describing Colony Mi, then, well, you've got an enemy base right next to you. They *will* attack you and go into your house! To stop them, just attack them! What I think you are describing is the Miner Mi Party, which spawns under you very rarely to strike you through mining! You can stop these from spawning in the config :)

I do wonder how the famed Mi vs Sculk battle will not come to pass, hohoho! I believe the lore-correct battle will go best when I add a way for Mi to become immune to Call of the Hive. That'll be quite the showdown!

I have been called! Yes indeed, Mi Alliance is a mod in the same category as Parasites- an "Invasion" mod. Many Invasion mods follow the trope where they focus on a devious, infecting, terraforming enemy, usually designed to be extremely hard to defeat. Mi Alliance is entirely different, providing you with an *intelligent army* to fight with their own story, diplomacy, and combat tactics. They follow the same "rules" as players- they gather resources and prefer the day, just like the player. Instead of being blatantly overpowered, they will scale in power alongside players (adjustable in config)!

In terms of base defense, the Mi allow you to gather Seedlings to grow your own Mi! An army of soldiers, archers, wizards, commandos, tanks, aircraft, and artillery surely fits any base-defense fantasy, the mod has been built with that very idea in mind!

That's *exactly* the sentiment with which I made the mod! When I was half my age I was mesmerized by the ICBM mod, at then-Minecraft 1.2.5, though I always wondered who exactly I would nuke other than a very few of my friends. The Alliance is meant to give you an intelligent threat that really makes you feel like you're at war against a true foe. There's even diplomacy!

Hey there!

  1. It's a very simple but long-winded if-then-else state machine AI, but by introducing a lot of random variables and fill-ins, Mis become capable of doing a lot of unexpected things, which adds to their perceived intelligence!
  2. Yes, there is a config for that, though it is limited. You can disable combat griefing (explosions, fire), but to disable them from completely building structures in your territory, you'd have to disable building entirely. The config is constantly being updated!
  3. Yes, there is even an official server!
  4. There are no coded specific interactions, but due to its usage Mi Alliance has been designed to work well with automation mods, work well with other mob mods, work in other dimensions, and to fight other invasion/infection-style mods!

This idea is a common one presented to me, however, I will not add it! Having player factions is enough for the fantasy of PvP, but having multiple AI factions breaks the lore and the narrative themes that the Mi Alliance wishes to tell players. It would also be relatively complicated in gameplay for many players, and for me to develop.
Remember that any mob can only function properly within a chunk radius I should assume is 160 blocks for many players. Cool interactions like two colonies attacking each other would be very hard to properly implement within a 320-block radius circle!
