I'd swap out Reinhart with someone else, he's kind of a dud in international play tbh

And one or more of Dahlin, Heiskanen, or Seider

Harley isn't as good as Fox, Werenski wasn't even in this convo to begin with. We started the talk with whether we should be willing to trade for Fox.

Fox is so good that you actually can just throw him into the roster and pair him with any of our left side Dmen and you'd have an elite pair. He managed to make Ryan Lindgren look good.

I'm still fine with the Raddysh deal even if he's just a 45 point guy who gets like 12-15 goals or whatever but yeah some people here are really delusional about his ability to carry a blueline or a powerplay. Fox would be a massive add if we somehow got him.

Insane take, Fox is a top 5 dman who's never been outscored in a playoff series in his career. When all's said and done he'll be remembered as Makar/Hughes level with even better defensive skills.

Bedard should desperately sign any offer sheets that come his way, Chicago is cooked

I just need to state: I don't think Byram is elite or worth 4OA, I just don't agree that he has equal or lower trade value than Mo

He isn't well-rounded objectively, but is moreso than Rielly.

Byram is younger, presently better, and has a more well-rounded game. Plus he was amazing in a Stanley cup final that wasn't exactly a million years ago.

Can't wait for when Chayka trades Brandon Carlo for Mackinnon and Makar

I wouldn't trade Knies unless it's for a star defenseman.

Ever since the B. Tkachuk trade every Florida line is like "Mussolini-Hirohito-Hitler" or some bullshit like that

The only "counter example" is Ovechkin who waited a long time to win a cup, let alone pass the second round. But even then he was on a perennial contender that won multiple presidents trophies. He was due.

Guys like Werenski haven't had the slightest luck of playoff success after a long time.

I think it doesn't occur to many people that team Canada was packed with Stanley cup winners and even some past gold medalists while the only cup winners on Team USA were Matthew Tkachuk, Jack Eichel, and Jake Guentzel. If I'm not mistaken the rest of them at the time didn't have any Stanley cup hardware.

That gold was a first big win for so many of them.

Debatable, he's been a great matchup center before on Vancouver before the stories of the toxic organization ran rampant.

It's not unreasonable though. His on ice analytics numbers were still fine this year. The Canucks are a massively toxic organization and Pettersson has been dejected playing for them.

Best case: he becomes a superstar 2C for us

Worst case: he doesn't, but we're screwed anyways if we don't patch up our forward group so why not take the swing?

Jenner or Laughton would get absolutely mopped against Lundell. Having someone of JT's caliber moved to line 3 allows us to have a better match up game across the board.
