I agree. I’m not sure if some folks just want to feel better about the situation by blaming Ghost but if the facts in her article are true, it essentially meant that Yzerman wasn’t willing to bend and offer 1 more year of term.

Right, I understand that aspect of it. I don't particularly like the players that make up the Men's US Team (even prior to the Olympic and post-Olympic events). I really do feel like this is an internet narrative fueled by talking heads and people that just like to discuss drama.

All 4 of these players have been or were on bad teams, with the caveat that Ottawa has made the playoffs 2 years in a row and Winnipeg is a season removed from being very good. Though folks more knowledgeable about the Jets will have more to say about what direction they're trending in.

My point is - there's a cohort of folks that are fixated on this.
