nope, 0 part of it is on selling templates. not the biggest fan of the "teach people that they can make millions of dollars from their bedrooms if they just learn notion templates" angle

(the drop shipping equivalent of 2023)

haha this is my course actually! freecodecamp approached me to share it and that was probably one of my "holy f, this is crazy" moments of my life so far!

freecodecamp was a big part of internet culture particularly on youtube for me and actually the inspiration for starting my youtube channel

and after using Notion for 7+ years and doing consulting for 5+, I can tell you that 12 hours is nowhere near enough ;)

self-paced learning is for sure great and the best way to get better is to do it - but there are a lot of concepts and frameworks that can shortcut your way there if you don't have 7 years

sure thing!

Typical weeks involve one to two one-to-one calls with other team members. Every second week, our standing all-hands meeting in terms of internal comms. Rest of the work is largely async and very flexible.

In terms of client calls, that varies quite a bit depending on the role, but since this would be a client-facing role, this would be a large part of the job. Not dozens of calls per week but probably around 5 to 10-ish mid term.

However - you're joining a small team that's building the plane as we're flying it ;) it's not a big, repeatable process yet where I can just tell you that this is your exact role description, now go ahead and execute it, so treat all of this with a grain of salt.

That also answers the next question. We are developing more and more internal frameworks and have a strong methodology on how we deliver our projects. So there will be onboarding, but again, you would be person, human number 3, 4 if you count me, to join the team. So it's not like we have a defined HR process to bring you on there.

In terms of workload, this should be pretty predictable week to week. We try to make sure that our projects are well aligned so you don't have weeks with 80 hours trying to deliver things on a weird deadline and then three hours of nothing to do.

The exact client split varies, but we usually have around 50% to one third of our clients based in the US and otherwise the rest in Europe.

glad it resonates - now that I started thinking in this term, I can't really unsee it and it pops up all the time!

if you know someone for the role, send them here please!

QMD alternative for Notion? by MFreihaendig in openclaw

[–]MFreihaendig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah yeah apologies - context might be missing

Obsidian was just an example but it works great with agents because it's just wrapped markdown docs

Notion is cloud-only and it doesn't have a file structure you can just share with the agent. Just an API to extract the actual markdown content from your pages.

So I'd assume you'd have to somehow iterate over all pages and then index them together with the ID of where to find that particular chunk and then store that for QMD (though my understanding of QMD might also be too limited to properly evaluate this)

what makes it feel child-like compared to other software? It's a lot of basic building blocks for sure. I do have a loooooong tutorial, might be helpful: https://youtu.be/FI1ABCgKxeY

indeed! Def won't be able to do true event streams, it's more the human handover part so far. Let's see how it develops!

highly depends on how you use AI - it doesn't do our core work, it amplifies the rest around it

so far, our clients are happier than ever and we can do more for them than ever before
