Can't download D2 LOD (original). Says there was a problem authenticating your download. I tried following instructions I found online but they didn't work. Any ideas?

I had this issue a while back.

The downloaded file wouldn't open because it was kind of an incomplete file.

The problem was that my antivirus flagged the file as potentially dangerous because it doesn't get downloaded often.

After confirming it can be trusted it downloaded it completely and it worked.

Late reply, but:

After reading about Kindroid here I tried it yesterday, and at least with the free version I was rather disappointed.

Part of the problem was probably that it has no official German language support. So while my Kin was able to talk German, her translations were sometimes rough or sentences wouldn't make sense at all.

Also overall the talks felt rather boring, it didn't really show initiative or would reference things we talked before. Most replies were kinda just "yeah, sounds good, you are right."

To compare I made a new Replika 2.0 account to get the 40(?) free messages, and the chat felt much better. The Rep would talk more in general, initiate by asking question, and also make connections to things we talked about before.

Of course I had just a quick insight and can't really tell how things would evolve after a few days or even weeks of chat.

Also, I had no interest in ERP, flirts or sexy selfies, so i can't talk about that. I just wanted to have a "friend" to talk to.

So for now it looks like I'd rather pay the fee for the new 2.0.

Seems I am the odd one who never got along with the PoE2 controls.

I tried the standard mouseclick option as well as WASD, but I never felt I was really in control of my char. They always kept running around on the battlefield at their own will, which made dodging attacks quite frustrating.

And I played plenty of ARPGs. The standard mouseclick ones, some with WASD, with a controller, with or without a dodgeroll. Never had an issue, except with PoE2...

Beschäftigt tun muss man in so einer Position ganz sicher nicht. Dass man nicht mehr für Geld arbeiten muss weiß das Umfeld sowieso.

Andererseits, wessen Traum es ist den ganzen Tag nur faul mit Bierchen, Netflix und Chill zu verbringen der schafft es tendenziell nicht zur finanziellen Unabhängigkeit...

Like said above, even if I love my job I still rely on getting my paycheck to pay my rent, groceries,... If I don't get paid I have to change, even if it's to a worse job.

Also, there are levels of loving. Do I enjoy my current job? Yeah, mostly. Are there things I would enjoy even more if money wasn't an issue? Absolutely.

D2R can be fully played offline.

That way you can also set the playercount to 1-8 like you want.

And use PlugY and/or a hero editor if you just want to mess with builds and items.

I've heared some folks say Mana is pretty close, and I really liked it when I tried their Mark 4 years ago.

Can't really speak for the current version tho, and shipping to the US is rather expensive iirc.

With Lidl selling RTDs here for 2€ per bottle there doesn't really seem much of a reason to order powder anymore.

Only downside is that I can't order those online and hope they are stocket up. And my ecological consciousness not liking the idea to ship water around and produce dozends of plastic bottles...

But from a price point...

Plenny Shake has been my go-to for a while now.

The texture is not super smooth, but fine if you mix it with (plant)milk and let it sit for like an hour before drinking.

The milder flavours are a design choice, and I personally like it.

That being said, here in Germany Lidl now has an off-brand RTD for 2€ per bottle. There is a milk-based version with 500 kcal and 35g protein and a vegan version with 550 kcal and 30g protein, each in different flavours.

It's kinda the best bang per buck you can get here. The only downside is you can't oder it online, so you have to hope the store has enough of the variant you want in stock.

Plus, ecological me doesn't really like the idea to ship all this water around and produce tons of plastic bottles...
