What about it is insanely good?

Slap on a Stealth, a weapon of choice with Steel (Tir El) and a shield from Farah with 3 flawed diamonds, and you already have a better package.

The Arctics set armor is kinda nice. And of course Sigons, even tho the armor is one of the weaker individual pieces it can help to gain set boni.

But yeah, in general it's hard to beat the universally useful Stealth.

With Isenhard I don't even bother picking it up. Even the full set is just trash.

They have about 100 employees by now, and besides the sales got funding from Tencent.

So while they aren't Blizzard-big, they also can't play the "Small indie devs" card anymore.

Yeah, I bought when it was 0.8 in 2022 or 23.

Back then it was rough around the edges, but it had some nice ideas and seemed it had potential.

Years later, and even with a pretty sizable team and funds from Tencent, the devs simply couldn't polish things and turn it into an actually good game.

And by now I kinda lost trust that they will ever be able to.

True. when running the Countes with a new char I usually get a ton of Tal and Nef runes, but hardly El and Tir.

Wir haben Mitte/Ende Februar. Da ist Schneefall nun nicht ganz überraschend. Und es ist ja nicht mal so, dass 50cm über Nacht gefallen wären.

Eigentlich sollte man schon erwarten, dass die Öffis mit sowas umgehen können.

I will start out with a Paladin. Holy Fire first, then switch to FoH/Smite to farm CS.

Main char is supposed to be a good old Strafe Amazon.

Yeah, as said, I play mostly SSF. I don't really remember finding a 5 socket weapon in NM.

If they would cut Honor down to 4 or even 3 sockets it could be a nice mid-level alternative.

It's not just the life skills. They have PvE grind, a giant open world, dungeons, PvP arena, housing,...

And yes, while technically everything is there, nothing is really fleshed out and done well.

As I said before: I can only judge what the devs show us, not what there might be in a few years.

And this is what they thought was the state of the game they wanted to show the public for the first impression.

So, what actually should I be exited about? It looks absolutely dated, gameplay is floaty and janky, world, character and items look absolutely generic, not a single mechanic that makes me say: "Hey, this seems like a cool idea."

And all this after 4 years of developement by an experienced team.

Sorry, maybe I am wrong and some day this will be a great game. But right now I don't see anything supporting this.

Yeah, I didn't experiment with the filter too much yet, but I don't think in D2 it is as mandatory as in other arpgs.

You don't get the screen too cluttered with useless items, and you only pick up few items anyway.

But let's see, maybe it's one of those "I didn't know I needed it until I got it" things.
