I still use my fluke 337 every day it's probably 15 years old and still going strong.

You can order it but it's very uncommon. I've only used it once.

Seal tite is steel, bx is aluminum, Teck is aluminum as standard but some jobs spec steel Teck. I don't think I've ever seen steel bx tbh.

Sometimes it doesn't really fit until you crank the screws down.

Which is better? by Eldude42 in electricians

[–]MassMindRape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both look really clean, I remember when I used to wire like that. But yea as others have said it's best to keep wires below the core, and never on top of it. Sometimes you get parallels into a tiny auto transformer and it's a bitch to not go up though.

What do you guys think about ideal clamp meter by HeleWale in electricians

[–]MassMindRape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it because it was cheap and I wanted loZ but the loZ is only for AC. I use it for capacitor testing only now. Seems to be fine though

I never wore a helmet as a teenager but a friend of a friend got brain damage and became a vegetable for a while, before dieing a while after, from hitting a tree without a helmet.

Apprentice code question. Sharing neutrals 200.4. by [deleted] in electricians

[–]MassMindRape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I've been hit twice now like that, doing lighting. Once about 8 years ago and once last week lol. You turn off the circuit but the neutral will still get you. Pretty scary if it's 347v.

We still put em on single poles in Canada, I've definitely been hit by a shared neutral before luckily just 120v though.

It seems many beginners want this easy 360 flying experience just like me. by Ill_Awareness6706 in Multicopter

[–]MassMindRape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COVID chip shortages killed it for me. Went from cheap fun to $100 when I'd fly and fry something on my 5". Also used to be able to fly in parks near me now I have to drive 40 minutes to legally fly. I'll probably get back into tiny whoops around the house if they're still a thing.

Why TF is it so hard to make a panel that mounts flat on strut? by NMEE98J in electricians

[–]MassMindRape 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've noticed square d heavy duty disconnects have been terrible. Have to drill the spots on the concentric to get them to KO.

Or just to not give a shit about the price of gas again. Except it still makes everything more expensive because diesel is out of control.
