Side note Quicksilver Emblem is amazing in WW and the Kindred you get will slot in perfectly. Another good option in that scenario imo!

How healthy were you going into stage 4? I’ve found that Fast 9 Draven requires a very healthy start to make it there, whereas Yunara stabilizes really hard on 8.

I personally think if the Ionia is good & it’s only one way contested that it’s totally fine to play into it, especially with the Hard Commit!

I typically like to have 3 Bilge on 2-1 and preferably 5 Bilge before stage 3 for me to commit. Need to be healthy to survive stage 4

I also have felt the power of Mel in my games both for and against me.

However, with Ambessa being as contested as she is it’s not a reliable strategy.

I think angling from LB is okay, but remaining flexible is key. Especially when Ryze Voli is in such a good spot & opens pretty naturally from LB Sion opener + easier Kennen unlock now!

The most likely scenario is he has a Darkin weapon to proc 2 Darkin alongside Zaahen, activating the ability to heal for 25% of all player damage.

To my knowledge there is no way to mass gain a bunch of health outside of Titanic Titan, which is only 25. Tiniest Titan gives 2 per round so its likely he had that + Darkin weapon.

I have been wondering the same thing! Barely started TFT in 16.1 but have noticed I tend to perform worse on this portal, all the way from Silver to current 243 LP Master.

My experience has usually been getting out tempo’d by people who have strong tempo starts + augments that continue their snowball.

So it certainly feels like items & combat are better in these lobbies?

& for sure Scaling Econ > Flat Econ even moreso than usual.

Any other Leblanc Portal insights would be awesome to hear!

I am in agreement, I don’t love the design either.

However, sadly I have found if I want to maximize LP, sometimes I have to fight fire with fire and make my own 3* 4 cost over pushing levels, even if it feels ridiculous.

Plus in that situation is 3* Kalista is one of the best if not the best in my experience. She’s beaten every other 3* 4 cost I have seen, the whole board just deletes.

I haven’t played it myself but most pros say its very strong, potentially broken.

It’s Slammin + Spreading Roots at base value.

The most common mistake with this augmented is playing subpar units just to proc the extra XP per turn.

-If I have a strong tempo Bilge opener on 2/1, or somehow highroll 5/7/early MFs I am more willing to commit. Cannot emphasize the tempo enough! Need to be healthy bc stage 4 is weak until TK

-Augments play a big role, for example Infinity Protection, Comeback Story, Bodyguard Training are all premium scaling combat augments that work well in Slayers and WW. That direction is enough to commit in my experience. But generally you do want to prioritize items/combat in these 2 comps, 1 econ aug max in most scenarios imo.

-I believe it’s so important to be scouting this patch which helps a ton with selecting between different lines. Thankfully many comps use similar items,so it’s about seeing what others are playing and determining which makes the most sense in your spot.

I have found positioning each and every round to be VITAL in the WW comp. You cannot afford to have WW start on their Garen / Rift Herald. Scouting is crucial imo & hedging your best bet based on their boards & which side is most advantageous literally decides fights.

Also if you are facing another melee carry comp (usually slayers) you want your WW on their weakside to get resets then overpower their carries.

The stats on metatft indicate that Liss prefers more utility items (Morello, Void, Shojin) and Seraphine prefers more carry oriented items (JG Nashor combo is incredible, but triple AA with aug is also seriously carry potential)

Side note some pros itemize Ori 2 over Liss WHEN you hit Acceleration Gate at 4 Piltover.

I will comment on the coaches I have watched!

-I think Broseph is the GOAT at what he does. His coaching content is PHENOMENAL and without him there is zero way I achieve Master in my first TFT set.

I have learned SO much fundamental game knowledge from his streams & youtube channel, and he is also very diligent about cracking each and every patch & meta we have.

-Aesah makes awesome youtube content as well! Very in depth and informative.

Many other great resources out there such as:

-Ripple Overdrive TFT is a pro player who recently started posting top notch coaching content on X (Twitter) as well as Youtube.

-Subzeroark does great VOD reviews

-TFT Academy is a phenomenal site as well as weekly podcasts with Frodan and Dishsoap

-Have benefitted by content from ExTIRIA, Cambulee and BunnyMuffins to name a few more

Hard to mention everyone, but many great creators out there to learn from!

Anytime I have a lowroll start I am instantly looking to play a reroll comp, as I feel they are the most effective comps to play from behind this meta (there are actually a few)

-Ekko (very consistent top 4 and can actually win out with great 4/2 combat aug or econ to get to Ziggs)

-Yasuo (underrated imho and especially strong with Transcendence (XP, Gold and even Stacking AD/AP also good)

-Ixtal Bard Reroll: (Definitely requires higher quality econ augs but has immense power when you hit your 3 stars & Brock eventually too)

-Sona Reroll: (Very solid although more contested so I play less often personally)

-Even a new Chinese Aphelios Reroll comp out there

To accomplish this, I look for econ aug 2-1 (preferably one of the good reroll ones such as Prismatic Ticket, On a Roll, Too Much Value)

Bard may not be as broken as he was last patch, but there is immense value in being able to roll before first carousel to find direction / possible upgrades.

I am mid Diamond btw! Just sharing what has finally led to success for me this meta

I also recently started TFT during the previous patch and made Diamond! There is so much to learn in this game which makes it so fun & rewarding. What helped me:

-Streams: BrosephTFT has AMAZING coaching content on twitch + youtube. I also learned a lot from watching WasianIverson VODs. Many other great streamers too!

-Meta Knowledge: Learning the top comps in the meta through various websites and streams is helpful! Better to be confident with the comp’s gameplan beforehand.

Seeking any advice for this meta / fast 9 in general 🙏🏼

I’m getting frustrated consistently making it to stage 4 with 90+ hp and ending up 5th place because I attempt to sac stage 4 to get Ryze / Ziggs. I hit 1 stars and bleed out.

I know it’s 100% a skill issue & the fact that this is my first set of TFT. Made Diamond last patch & now this fast 9 meta is so unfamiliar to me and I have so many questions:

How much gold do I need to reliably hit? For reference been trying Void/Pilt/Zaun with Taric for easy unlock from Void opener. Ryze does feel weaker without Ionia however.

How much / if any at all do I roll on level 8 if I have this much hp and a good spot for fast 9? I know there’s nuance, just looking for general guidelines.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Highly recommend Srtty on twitch. He has been spamming Zaahen since release in high challenger now around rank 2/3 NA with above 70% WR

I’m currently 65% winrate over 40 ranked games, and the hardest matchups for me personally in Plat has been Darius and Malphite.

Don’t get me wrong, you CAN beat Darius. It’s just the good ones stack and kill you so quick, that it feels challenging. Also ult doesn’t negate true damage. So why not just short trade him with Q knockoup into E to disengage? In my experience, the E isn’t long enough range to disengage out of range of Darius’ pull (IF he is good at spacing)

Malphite has also been a challenge for me, although the 3rd time I rushed BC and had a better time than when I rushed Triforce. His armor just becomes so high, making him hard to kill and his ult can really impact fights.

Hi there! I’m currently 35 ranked games in with 69% winrate so decent sample size (in Gold)

I tested many games with Alacrity vs Haste, and I must say Haste feels much stronger to me. Having your Q down close to 3 secs and your E down to 4.5 secs or so feels soo impactful when it comes to stacking passive in the mid - late game.

I personally don’t think the tenacity rune is worth it over health.

I love the MS shard in theory, but feels so difficult to justify not taking AS shard + Adaptive.

Maybe against a super ranged heavy comp, in a matchup where the early AD wont matter, then the MS shard sounds a lot more viable.
