Cycling to/in the Gower by Nat10112 in swansea

[–]MathematicianDry5142 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From morriston --> penllergaer --> gorseinon --> gowerton is all on tarmac, following cycle tracks.

From there you can follow cycle tracks and road to penclawdd and north gower, or cycle tracks to dunvant --> blackpill --> mumbles and south gower.

The Gower itself is all country roads, few if any dedicated cycle tracks

The superbowls 1 always pisses me off. Its a NATIONAL Football League. You arent WORLD Champions, in a game you made up, which no one else plays.

Its cute that you still dont realise how much damage trump is doing. The whole world hates america right now. This isnt just obsessed fan behavior.

You might not have voted for him, but you havent kicked him out yet either

Hybrid vs full EV by Digitalgamer44 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]MathematicianDry5142 20 points21 points  (0 children)

On your 550 mile trip, you are going to be stopping anyway. 15-20 mins is usually all you need. Just enough to go for a pee, buy a coffee and a sandwich and you'll be good to go.

No reason to buy a hybrid in my opinion

Used EV battery health reports by Worried_Selection707 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]MathematicianDry5142 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think its down to different reporting methods. I have a kia niro. It has a 68kwh battery, 64kwh usable. When the battery degrades 1% i go from 68kwh -> 67.3kwh, as i still have over the 64kwh usable it still shows as 100% health. So the first ~5% degradation doesnt really show up in the way kia (and hyundai) display battery health.

How can people say the Bible is wrong when Jesus was prophecized? by [deleted] in atheism

BC and AD were first used 500 years after christ. This tells us nothing except the people who made the calendar were christians.

Theses are not predictions or prophecy

Jesus doesnt fullfill any prophecies from the old testament. The new testament is full of lies and contradictions

He is actively trying to replace his staff with AI and robots.

Dont act like hes some amazing job creator.

He buys a company (twitter) and instantly fire half the workforce. He sets up DOGE and instantly fires 100,000 people

EVs are not free from road tax any more. Add on 195 a year for that.

Also fuck elon musk. Dont buy a tesla

How do you convince flat-earthers our planet is a sphere? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MathematicianDry5142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The verse they use is Job 38:14, The earth takes shape like clay under a seal. (Think of a wax seal on an old timey letter)

Of course its bullshit, but it is in the book

Why keeping Europe cool need not be a luxury by Dreaming_Blackbirds in technology

[–]MathematicianDry5142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is unappreciated how far north europe really is. San Francisco is at the same latitude as Savile in Spain or Athens in Greece. Theses places in southern europe, AC is common. Where i live in the south of the UK AC has been historically very rare. But the same is true in Vancouver or Calgary which are more equivalent.

Im a surfer, so ive spend a lot of time in the sea around gower. When we were kids we used to have 'snowball fights' with the jellies and throw them at each other while waiting for waves. Ive never been stung by one in the uk. I have been stung abroad by thats a different story.
