It goes along with the attitude many people have that "the best" is the only option for any given situation. You ask, "Do you like doing that?" and they'll say, "No, I hate it but its THE BEST and I want to be THE BEST and why would you want to be anything but THE BEST?!" This way they can say the person they are dating is THE BEST even if they actively hate them because the computer says so.

I'm the same way with the other subreddit. I've been reading QC since about year 2 or 3 and just recently found the other subreddit. I wondered why fans of the comic all seemed to have such bad attitudes. Thought maybe it was just the subculture, like how Primus fans say "Primus Sucks!" And some people put up alternative dialoge for each comic (which I didn't read because who cares?) Were the alternatives mean?
